Agree...much could have been avoided, even lock downs if politicians stopped being short sighted and actually were PREPARED for what will continue to happen .. this is not the first pandemic nor the last.
 
the outbreak starts in china last dec. they tried to cover it up for a few weeks. then they acknowledged that there was a virus, but had their mouthpiece , the world health organization, say that there was a low chance of person to person contact. then. in late jan, they admitted it was contagious , then stopped flights. on feb, 2, trump halted flights from china, and many raged at him for doing so.

but, somehow, people want to blame trump. amazingoh, and the media is yelling " MOST CASES EVER" in america, but they fail to mention that the 81.000 cases were out of over 1.2 million tests.

so, the infection rate here is about 6 1/2 %, which is about where it has been the last few weeks., going between 4 1/2 percent to 6 1/2 percent.

no outbreak, just a lying media.

Again the science states otherwise.

Recent research published in JAMA which was conducted in South Korea definitive proof that people without symptoms and carry just as much in the virus in the their throat, lungs etc... and for almost as long.

to your point, hong kong and taiwan have few cases because they did not trust china and the world health organization , and closed up right away.

so, it is a fair point that world leaders took china's word for it, and that was unwise.

just like doing the lockdowns based on flawed models were unwise to. and now, they are doing it again, proving they care nothing about science , just control.

First of all I stated South Korea and sorry but published research in JAMA has nothing to do with control but with evidence.
To me you are speaking from emotion not facts.
Even with a typical flu or cold which yes they are different.... people are most contagious before they show symptoms.

I mentioned nothing about lock downs... you know we have phased out of lock downs and our numbers are lower on a seven day average that North Dakota per million.

Be well... I have tried to steer some here to be objective and scientific in their views, as have many others who have left this echo chamber, ...... after all we are dealing with a virus.... obviously it is not possible.

keep an eye on this- the media is pivoting away from the election to the virus " surge".

it seems as if they are quickly trying to get away from the disastrous debate performance.

and the " surge " is the result of record test results( 2.3 million over the last 2 days), averaging a million a day for the last week-10 days.

of course , saying this does not sound scary, so the fake news does not say it,...
