You believe your preferred translation of that verse is accurate,while criticizing others translations that makes more sense.I have to admit I find what the translators did here is inexcusable, changing the Word of God should be met with capital offence.
Even though I believe according to Romans 8 that only men can be sons of God and heirs through Christ the Son of God, It does not come into consideration, even those who believe sons of God could be meaning angels should be upset at this for it does not give translators a free license to translate words into different words so people will read what they think it means.
I mean if the verse was translated 1:6 One day Job and the other believers came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them.
Which even though I believe would be accurate and clear up error, I would be livid if they dared changed Gods Word what gives me or anyone the right, I/they could be wrong too. even though I dont think we are
His abode was in Heaven first. Embraced in the grace of God.
Then he and 1/3rd of the angels rebelled. And God released them from his grace and cast them down to Earth. Like man later, they fell. Because they Sinned.
And were cast out,separated,from God.

Adam and Eve were cast out of Eden. (from Ugaritic base 'dn and meaning "a place that is well-water*ed throughout" )
*Jesus is the water of life.
Adam and Eve were separated from God by their Sin. Cast out of God's grace.
As was Satan and his fellow angels.
That's why Salvation reconciles our seperation.
And yet,we pray and God hears us. Those who are of sincere heart. Though he goes not hear the prayers of Sinners.
Even as the fallen,we serve the will of Sovereignty.
Why not Satan?
If Satan/Lucifer ("Light Bringer", interesting title for a prince if darkness)was still an angel in Heaven who had not yet rebelled there,what's that say of that servant of Sovereignty, that he assumed the image and likeness of a Serpent? And knew of the only tree forbidden Adam and Eve. And entered into it so to lead them to fall?
If Lucifer was still an angel of Heaven,not yet having rebelled,it means God sent him to Eden.
Just as he later sent Lucifer to tempt Job.
Why? All temptations are a test. By God.Who is Omniscient, Omnipotent,Omnipresent,
Sovereign and has Dominion over all that exists.
Because all that exists,all,is both of and from the Creator.
It's all God's doing. It's all God's plan.
Why be surprised fallen Lucifer visits Heaven? When God made him lord of the Earth?
That is where a translator needs to be knowledgeable to discern the correct way to translate.
For men who believe in Christ are to be called 'sons of God.'
But, it also pertains to angels as well!

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." Romans 8:14
Demons are not led by the Spirit of God. Angels are!Unbelievers, and chronically carnal believers, can not be called sons of God.
For sons of God is a title for their function in the realm of God..

The high priest was seen with filthy garments for the sacrifices he made could not permanently take away sin, therefore Satan although wrongly could rightly accuse him/Israel, yet now however Jesus our High priest is clothed in white garment, perfect and clean.
And now ours sins are far removed, and we have eternal victory over sin through Christ and His sacrifice.
Heb 9;11 But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
Heb 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
Satan has been replaced by Christ who now intercedes for us as you aptly pointed out, to me those who elevate Satan lower Christ and diminish our victory in Him.

I think this is more saying while the Lord was in utero, reminds me of when John leapt for Joy while in the womb when Liz met with Mary.

The translators of the Septuagint are also just as culpable in my mind, there are many reasons why, if Bene Elohim is not in the original then what was the original Hebrew words do you reckon?
I suppose Angelos or what ever the word in Greek is, does not have to refer to angel either, but it sure aint a literal translation of "sons of Gods" either and seems to give our English translators more leniency to translate unwarranted meaning into the text, which being sinful men and capable of error they should know not to do that even if they thought they were right.
I dont know much about Hebrew, if i assume there is more than one Hebrew word for angel, which word or words would be used?
It can also be 'son of God."
Job mentions two different races of angels in chapter 38.
First type = Morning stars.
Morning stars are light bearing angels.
Lucifer was of that race of angels, for he was a great light bearer.
The regular "beer drinking," type angels, are simply called, "sons of God."

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.

Two races of angels!
