I was diagnosed with schizophrenia about 15 years ago. 10 years in I began to see images of beautiful people made of light, this was 24 hours a day, even with my eyes closed. I tried pills I got from a doctor but they didn't work for the hallucinations and I didn't sleep well for years after that. Finally I got used to them after a period of severe depression. Now I am happy, when I finally learned the self control to love another at will.

It's only after rain there can be a rainbow. I believe I've heard somewhere. Happiness to you all, may you find a way to the same ability.

Hi!

I'm sorry for the tough times you've had.

Remember that true joy is only found in Jesus. Anything else is temporary and won't last cuz it's not on the right foundation.

Well I went with the Buddhist tradition for a while, enlightenment and meditation. Though I see now I can pick and choose between the two faiths, so long as I find their morality and use my wisdom to figure out what I would rather believe and what is true. You might as well just believe what makes you happy anyway, doesn't matter if you're right yet. I pray that if I'm wrong about that the creator forgives me.

It's a matter of morality though, should someone become enlightened? I would say the world needs it's wisemen. I wish I was smarter though, would make it easier.

Kafziel, It’s good of you to consider the morality of seeking enlightenment. Wisdom is indeed valuable, and the world needs its wise men. But as Christians, we recognize that true wisdom comes from God, who gives generously to those who ask in faith.

  • “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” – James 1:5 (KJV)
I understand your desire to escape suffering—it’s a natural longing. Buddhism teaches reincarnation and the cycle of suffering, but Christianity offers a profound hope: a single life lived in faith in Jesus Christ, followed by eternal rest in His presence.

  • “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
The Buddha himself never claimed to be a god, and the teachings of reincarnation and enlightenment are man-made philosophies. Christians, on the other hand, trust in the divinely inspired Word of God and the promise of resurrection through Jesus Christ.

  • “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” – 1 Corinthians 15:22 (KJV)
Rather than seeking to escape suffering, Christians are encouraged to view it through the lens of God’s purpose. Suffering can refine us, draw us closer to Him, and help us grow in faith.

  • “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” – Romans 8:18 (KJV)
  • “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” – James 1:2–3 (KJV)
Kafziel, We live with the hope of Christ’s second coming, when He will make all things new, wipe away every tear, and remove all suffering for eternity.

  • “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” – Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
Wisdom and salvation are gifts from God, not achieved by human effort. I would gently encourage seeking wisdom through prayer and trusting in His divine plan.

I'm starting to notice that may be the case.

"The Buddha himself never claimed to be a god, and the teachings of reincarnation and enlightenment are man-made philosophies. Christians, on the other hand, trust in the divinely inspired Word of God and the promise of resurrection through Jesus Christ."

This part right here, I consider neither Jesus or Buddha a god. Just very wise men I should listen to. I don't think any man is truly divine.

"Kafziel, We live with the hope of Christ’s second coming, when He will make all things new, wipe away every tear, and remove all suffering for eternity."

Well that's strange, he already told you how to do it.

"Wisdom and salvation are gifts from God, not achieved by human effort. I would gently encourage seeking wisdom through prayer and trusting in His divine plan."

Well either way the world works on you. I like Jesus though, he was a good guy. Probably one of the few people I idolized when I was younger.

I mean as far as I can tell. Faith is the answer to the world's problems. You can believe whatever you wish of the other side. There's also a "placebo effect" on the mind in a sense. I don't fully understand it, but it seems to be from my personal experience.

Faith is the answer. The thing that can banish pain, tears and perhaps make the world anew.

With faith in God , obedience and submission follow on and if u can sacrifice yourself to these 3 : faith , obedience and submission in and to God , then u get real peace . The problem with us humans us that we live through our physical senses and the flesh profits nothing but death . When I had cancer over ten years ago , I learned something , it was something that I had always believed to b true but believing and knowing r two different things . I learned that I am not my body . My body is a shell , it's not what makes me me . What makes me me is what is in my heart and mind or u can call it my spirit or my soul if u prefer . That's what makes me me . If we have the Spirit of Christ we have faith , if we have faith we r obedient to God and submit to His Will for us and this brings us true peace . We need to put ourselves totally in His hands and do so willingly and completely . This is the lesson that Jesus taught us , it's what he did and it's what he wants us to do also . I'm very much a work in progress 😜 .
