Jesus be God because God the Father fully dwelt in Him who is the Spirit. How can Jesus be God, the Spirit be God and the Father be God?
miknik5 that is Oneness view of explanation...Actually the thread was asking to explain the trinity.
We are body, soul and spirit...but we are one entity.
GOD...came in our likeness, in the form of flesh...but there is only ONE SPIRIT and ONE GOD...regardless of three ¨persons" of that ONE entity...
How can Jesus be God, the Spirit be God and the Father be God?
The word Father, represents his WILL, Jesus is the WORD, (made flesh) and the character of God is his SPIRIT (of Holiness). All contained in ONE.
Does knowledge reside in the soul?
Its both actually:No, it does not reside in the soul, it is pleasant to the soul.
Its both actually:
“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.”
(Psalm 139:14)

Knowledge RESIDES IN THE HUMAN SPIRIT.
Yes Knowledge Resides in the Human Brain TOO.
If you are BORN AGAIN, those two will be at WAR. The Human Spirit wants to do what Pleases the LORD, while the will of the Human Brain wants to do the will of the FLESH.
Is that Human Brain the SOUL? I would say it is, here is JESUS explaining the Soul is wanting to do the wrong thing:
Luke 12:17-20 (NASB77)
17 "And he began reasoning to himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?'
18 "And he said, 'This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry."'
20 "But God said to him, ' You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?'
HERE IS PAUL REASONING WITH HIS BORN AGAIN HUMAN SPIRIT.
Romans 7:14-25 (HCSB)
14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am made out of flesh, sold into sin’s power.
15 For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.
16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
17 So now I am no longer the one doing it, but it is sin living in me.
18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me {your human spiritual mind}, but there is no ability to do it.
19 For I do not do the good that I want to do {your human spiritual mind}, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do.
20 Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but it is the sin that lives in me.
21 So I discover this principle: When I want to do what is good {your human spiritual mind}, evil is with me.
22 For in my inner self I joyfully agree with God’s law.
23 But I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind {your human spiritual mind} and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.
24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this dying body?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh, to the law of sin.
Now HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS. AS you mature spiritually, your human spirit will get stronger and stronger as you feed on the WORD OF GOD. Eventually it will become more, and more dominate over the will of the flesh. To where the human spirit will win more battles with the will of the flesh. Is it possible to STOP SINNING? No in this BODY that has a SIN NATURE in it, but it is possible for the will of the human spirit to win most of the battles.
For those who think they have stopped sinning, I got news for you, YOU NEED TO STUDY WHAT ALL GOD CALLS SIN.
James 2:8-10 (NIV)
8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.
9 But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.
10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Here are some Ordinances of man that you have NOT THOUGHT OF AS SIN but according to James 2:10 it is:

HOW MANY MORE CAN YOU THINK OF ? ? ?
Thank you for explaining. We are on the same page. The soul=Mind, Will, EmotionsNo the SOUL IS THE MIND, EVERY THING THAT is PART OF THE BODY IS NOT TANGIBLE ENOUGH TO LOOK AT UNDER A MICROSCOPE.
The HUMAN SPIRIT MUST BE BORN AGAIN by the HOLY SPIRIT TO HAVE LIFE ETERNALLY.
Haven't you ever wondered what HE MEANT by WE WERE ONCE DEAD?
Colossians 2:13 (HCSB)
13 And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him and forgave us all our trespasses.
That is the Human Spirit, because this Body and Soul were alive at NATURAL BIRTH. The so-called spark of LIFE is in the SOUL TOO.
Joshua 11:14 (NJB)
14 All the spoils of these towns, including the livestock, the Israelites took as booty for themselves. But they put all the human beings to the sword till they had destroyed them completely; they did not leave a living soul.
Not everyone was BORN AGAIN, but EVERYONE was a LIVING SOUL. So it is not the LIVING SPIRIT that HE is talking about.
1 Corinthians 15:46 (HCSB)
46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.
YOU SEE, the Natural Man is made up of the BODY and SOUL. SOUL is the sum total of every part of the BODY that you cannot look at under a microscope: mind, emotions, feelings, cognitive abilities, spark of life, pain, satisfied, hunger, etc. THAT IS SOUL, and it a alive at Natural BIRTH.
John 3:6 (HCSB)
6 Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The body is made up of tangible part you can look at under a microscope,
AND parts you cannot look at under the microscope = Body and Soul.
Thank you for the explanation but i just want a simple yes or no to me question in post #512.The mind is where humans justify, think, create, reason, understand, process, scheme, deceive, decide (to help).
An unsaved person can justify not believing in God because they help others and do good. But that is more because their mind understands by doing these things they equal themself to God. And they are trained by seeing others help, so they can choose to follow that example.
We Believers on the other hand, can feel convicted by choosing not to help. This is SOUL. It's a direct connection to God through the Holy Spirit. When we choose in our minds to not help, to ignore, to do wrong, our SOUL speaks to our Consciousness. Our own Consciousness then sends thoughts and feelings to both our thinking portion of the brain and to our heart where our emotions come from.
Therefore, if the Soul is connected to the mind at any specific place, it's within our Consciousness. But, I do not believe the SOUL is part of the mind, I believe it is a function designed for God to speak to us by thoughts and emotions from the Consciousness.
When we were convicted and chose to be accept Christ for Salvation, it took place first within the SOUL, and then from there went to our Consciousness. So, the SOUL and Mind are separate, but the SOUL converses with the Consciousness, and then that travels to the thinking side/reasoning side of the Brain and then it goes full blown to our heart where our emotions make us feel guilty, good, happy, elated, relieved, etc.
