Well, I kinda' figured they would introduce themselves lol.... Perhaps give the common rabble an opportunity to ask questions like...
-How many nationalities and denominations does "CC" actually host?
-Where are the MODs themselves from?
-What does the future hold for "CC"?
Maybe clear some things up for those who come here seeking online "WWW" fellowship and find this confusing, in-cohesive mess. It's just difficult for me to accept that God's word inspires so much argument... Among Believers!
Perhaps this is a perfect example of why God divided us at the tower of Babel...

Welcome to internet Christian Chat. It's always been weird. It was weird in the 90s. Every Christian Chat since the days of Bulletin boards has been weird.
Probably because many of the people are.. well, weird. LOL
All denominations and people in general are welcome. The same old topics have been argued about on every Christian Chat site I have ever seen on the internet since 1994.
I see people fellowshipping here. In some of the other forums they seem to be having a great time making friends and such.
I come here to talk about interpretation of various scriptures and what is the best hermeneutic when there seems to be disagreements. I enjoy the quest to find the best interpretation of difficult passages without arguing or being mean.
Of course that is "fellowshipping" also if it is done with the motivation of love and to edify one another.
Some people think that going on and on discussing the proper interpretation of a passage is arguing but it doesn't have to be. It can be done in a spirit of investigation and learning in which one practices how to present their hermeneutic is such a way that will convince those who read that it is the best interpretation of a passage and the reasons why that is the case. This activity edifies both the writer and the readers and I have learned many things in the word by doing this here at CC.
I normally skip the weirdness. Sort of pick and choose which conversation seems intellectually beneficial to "waste" my time with. LOL. Yea.. it's weird.
If I may elaborate, on this weirdnesses,. ,. I think the problem is not so much the different faiths, or the how the mods run things here', I think the real weirdness, that goes on here is certain doctrines that don't need to be preached to Christians, Christians preach them to each other,. Totally weird,. But anyhow welcome to the forum @JAPOV there are some fantastic mature lovely people here, also a bit wacky, but you know many Christians are wacky at times lol. God moves in mysterious ways lol.
Mod does not "facilitate perpetual Christian discord."
There is one forum mod and he does not have time to read every single post in every single thread, or time to sort through the messes people create to find out who is truly at fault in any ongoing brouhaha. As such, he appreciates our help in reporting truly offensive posts, for instance: doctrinally, such as denying the divinity of Christ, and personally, such as by being very abusive. He will often give warnings to people involved in ongoing disputes that turn to continuous insults, before banning the offenders.
Mat 10:34: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."
Mat 10:35: "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law."
Mat 10:36: "And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."
Mat 10:16: "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
Acts 20:30: "Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them."

IMO, folks come here and find what they are looking for. Some, however, then begin to bemoan what they found, even though it was what they were looking for. Elsewise, hou could they post negative comments about CC?
Thousands of Posts appear here every day. There are some that are angrified commentary, but that is usually limited to the BDF. There are many other Forums, and many other Threads where Christian values, fellowship and love abound.
It always comes down to what one is truly looking for and why........IMO
You seem to have forgotten that Christians are involved in a daily spiritual battle, and that is also reflected on Christian forums. This is not a local church of like-minded believers who all adhere to the same doctrines. Therefore all doctrines (true and false) are seen on all Christian forums. So it is now up to you to present the truth. But if you show up with false doctrine then expect the consequences.
This is purely nonsensical. The motivation of the builders of the tower of Babel was (a) self-aggrandizement and (b) idolatry. Therefore they were scattered. You do not apply the thinking of unbelievers and enemies of God and Christ to Christians.

In the time of Nimrod, men still knew how many generations removed they were from Adam and Eve. Men knew precisely the God they were rebelling against despite their knowledge of God. Do you not find it interesting that, when we all gather together, even in God's name, we find no accord?
Claiming ownership of what God has provided freely, World conquest through subjugation, And denying God has been at the heart of man's downfall since Cain and Abel... What monument to man's arrogance and greed have we built despite God today?
This has been happening since Cain and Abel. One believed and the other did not. One was Purified, the other was not. So, from the simple math, we can see that at least 50% were not believers. Cain knew of God, I mean, he was giving offerings of fruit to him. Was he really a believer? 1 John 03:12 tells us that Cain belonged to the Evil one.
1 John 3:12 NIV - "Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous."
Cain would have told you that he believed in God. Why wouldn't he? He interacted with God directly. So what does this tell us? It tells us that not all who THINK they're believers . . . are actually believers. Of course, this leads us to the question . . . what happened to Able that rendered him as a True Believer? It was the Blood offering and what it represented. The next question is . . . what does the blood sacrifice represent in terms of what happened to Abel. It is the same reason for why Abel is said to the be first True Prophet, which of course, had to be Pure. So the question continues . . . what happened to Abel that rendered him to be Pure, Righteous, and Holy?
Ahhhh . . . and so the Gospel of Jesus Christ begins.
But as for the 50% . . . less than 50% are True Believers. MUCH less.
Four things:
1. I am encouraged by the brethren on this website.
2. It is incredibly efficient and useful for me to be able to study others' views on certain doctrinal issues; it sharpens me.
3. You may find fewer (or no) disagreements in the other sections of this website (e.g. the poetry or cooking or testimonies sections), which you are free to explore if it's more comfortable for you there.
4. Not everyone here are Christians; some are hecklers, messengers of Satan. But the guardians of the Truth will snuff them out.

Who was mod when our Lord was engaged with dialogue between the Lawyers, Pharisees and Saddueces and Scribes? or when Paul engaged in various controversies?
The bible is a book of debates and disputes.
With the Falling Away in full swing, with religions looking at possible oneness, nations looking at possible oneness, & the industrial complex looking at possible oneness, it would be foolish to expect peace & harmony any where, let alone on a christian chatsite.
The world stage is nearly set for the Antichrist. The world will be crying for peace when he arrives.

also...the gospel has 4 different versions in the Bible. And for some strange weird reason they dont all seem to agree with each other I wonder why? Could it be they were written by different people with different viewpoints? Why not just ONE gospel and call it MatMaLukJo?

God's word who is Jesus is a Spiritual Book ---So we read this Book with 2 lens ----The Worldly lens will bring a worldly view ----the Spiritual lens will bring a Spiritual view ----and the 2 will oppose one another -----That is why Jesus taught in Parables as the ones who's hearts were open by God the Father to understand the Spiritual meaning understood what message Jesus was actually delivering --
But here is the problem with the Spiritual view------- in my opinion ----many actually see the actual spiritual message differently ----Why because we are all on different levels of our Faith journey and as we Mature our view on the same message will have a deeper meaning ---the Holy Spirit meets people at their level of understanding -----We are in a Carnal state of understanding until we move on to a higher understanding of what the scripture says -----which is the Spiritual Man state -----The more you are in the Word the more Wisdom and Knowledge one gains by and through the Holy Spirit -----A Baby can't eat solid food until they mature somewhat in their baby stage ----so the knowledge the baby has will become great as they mature and they can start to eat solid food -----

The New Christian is like a Bag of Marbles the marbles are held together in the bag ---but when you break the Bag ---the Marbles separate---- their holding together was by the outer Bag ----so their spiritual wisdom and knowledge is limited and they see the meaning of Scripture in different Lights ----their lens is like a double vision -----some worldly mixed with the Spiritual -----
The mature Christian is like a Magnet ---when you put a magnet over medal pieces it picks up all the Pieces and they are held together by an Internal Force and their Spiritual wisdom and knowledge becomes greater and they will see the Spiritual in the same light ------ their vision is from one lens ---
So some agree and some disagree on the Same Scripture ------it depends on the lens you view from and your Spiritual state -----

Disagreement over interpretation is NOT synonymous with jealousy. When you disagree with others, you are equally guilty of the "immature" behaviour you decry.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are called the Gospels but where they disagree seem to be on accounts of events.
I believe they agree on the Gospel though. It is comparable to how we, as individual believers, may disagree on many points of the Word, yet we all believe the Gospel of Jesus Yeshua.
