...or both!

No faith in Jesus can be different than the faith of Jesus. To be so it would be both extra-Christological and extra-scriptural. This is going to connect directly to our Christology, Pneumatology, and ecclesiology, not just soteriology because faith causally consequent of the Spirit is much different than any variety of faith causally consequent of the flesh. This is especially true when considering pre-regenerate flesh (sinful) and post-regenerate flesh (redeemed).
Faith is either in or of Father and Son as won for you or it is not, which in truth is between each person and God personally atop of everything else, at least to me this I now see after a long walk off a short pier, here on earth to this day, being put under Law to trip me up and it did and could again and has again. Therefore now I see it is finished by Son Jesus for me and all the world of people 1 John 2:1-12 to do new in the risen Son and not of myself anymore of God's done work of Son for us all to rest in, now and forever in Thanksgiving and praise

This is a huge doctrine only found within the KJV. We are justified by the faith of Jesus Christ and not by the works of the law. His faith justifies the believer. All the other versions put justification upon man's faith
I definitely agree with you here ---this is a huge Doctrine -----and needs to be talked about and explored more ----Research and more research done digging deep to find the true answer ---our Faith IN Christ ---Or The Faith Of Christ ----we cannot be justify by our Faith IN Christ -----

What does us Having Faith IN Christ entail or mean ----haven't seen one answer that answers that Question -----and how does one access this Faith in Christ to begin with -----

The scripture says Faith comes by hearing the Word -----Jesus is the Word ---so who's Faith are we Getting by hearing the Word ----who is Jesus ---

Christ will not believe for you. Which leads me to believe believing IN Christ is the correct way
It is all well and good for you to say that -----So tell me what you have to do to believe in Christ ------where is your Faith coming from to make you believe IN CHRIST ----

How do you get healed from a disease by you Believing in Christ ------how does believing IN CHRIST heal you ----what steps do you have to take to get healed -----

The Woman with the Blood Disease was Healed instantly -----was it her Faith IN CHRIST that Healed her ----or was it His Faith that was imparted to this women who never gave up pursuing Jesus that Healed her ------ ???????????

Technically NEITHER. Your FAITH (which is gifted by God - eph 2:8,7) based on God's WORD to you (Conviction of SIN) should be in the SIN OFFERING made by Jesus (Isa 53:10) on the cross which is the BASIS for your CLEANSING from SIN.

It supersedes the "Sin offerings of animal BLOOD made yearly in the OLD testament (Heb 10:1-10).

where is your Faith coming from to make you believe IN CHRIST
That's covered in Romans 10:17. Faith comes by HEARING Gods Word to you.

For the LOST person, it's typically CONVICTION OF SIN. That's the "Drawing" called out in John 6:44

Father and Son are One (Won) for us all on that cross, where he took all sin out of the way between us and God personally each, (John 1:29, John 19:30) not a religious aspect in gathering where flesh nature gets in the way, with doubt going on out and about, going what about. this and that and this that keeps people from growing up in the new life in the risen Christ given us from Father to have, hold onto and never let go of as said in Col 1:21-23, yet I think it be good to read it from verse 1 into chapter 2, where in Jesus being risen shows he made an open spectacle of those that got him killed over their jealousies in Job securities, you see no one was going to the religious leaders anymore, All were looking for Jesus not them, Talk about the pride, ego of people. So they got him killed, thinking they won. Then risen they see him and oh boy, now he is going to kill us. And he didn't wow, woe is me anyone else?

Hearing the word, "You by the done work of Son are forgiven through him to Father. to now enter his courts with thanksgiving and praise and have a conversation, where Dad listens and teaches you new in what is best for you to do or not do, you decide and are willing and then one just does new without temptation in the way any more (Since Son Won for you too) as the churches of today use fear to get to you and lead you in their evil ways of the flesh nature, not born new yet, if they will ever decide to be new in trust to God Father of risen Son to not is between each person an d God Father personally.
Now, you have heard it is finished, the work that needed to get done is done for you too. We are no longer under Law to get, it is given by Son for us all to either believe it or not!!!!!!!!!! Therefore

New International Version
21:14-15
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.(A) For I will give you(B) words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

New International Version
Luke 12:11-12
“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,(A) for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”(B)

This is so we can rest medicine in the done work of Love and mercy to us to give out as a response to all, in thanksgiving and praise seeing Psalm 103:12 fulfilled and getting the new heart given us as in Ezekiel 36:26
Bo more self work, it is all the done work of God for us in Son as risen to us to rest in Hebrews 4

yes true, thank you, then one day for us all that will not stop or quit belief to God, no matter how long it takes, in troubles or not. to see what is done for us in risen son to us to rest in
seeing it in truth, once God sees we are like a Job in the book of Job, at least from me, my experiences, that have happened to me seeing evil still tries to get in and upset me, I can now glory in my iniquities, and not use them for any self gain anymore from other people, as did before learning this truth from God to me and all others too
God is the supplier, we are the receivers, so will we stand in trust to God to get us through it all and be content in all things good or bad happening to us? Paul was as when in jail he praised God all the more and the jail help came to belief also.
It is the Love of God that overcame, overcomes evil

If the source of her faith is what is in question, how does this make your point? Further, her faith didn't actually heal her. Jesus healed her. The woman had no power to heal within herself or she wouldn't have needed virtue from Him.

Faith In -- or Faith Of

This seems important to understand ------this changes the perspective on Faith ------

Most Translations say ---Faith In Jesus Christ

took this from Bible hub ---you can check it out for yourselves ---

Galatians 2:16
know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”
yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Only a few translations say Faith OF JESUS Christ ------

King James Bible
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Because we know that a man is not justified by works of The Written Law, but by the faith of Yeshua The Messiah, we also believe in Yeshua The Messiah, that we should be made right by the faith of The Messiah, and not by the works of The Written Law, because no one is made right by the works of The Written Law.

Douay-Rheims Bible
But knowing that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ; we also believe in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Young's Literal Translation
having known also that a man is not declared righteous by works of law, if not through the faith of Jesus Christ, also we in Christ Jesus did believe, that we might be declared righteous by the faith of Christ, and not by works of law, wherefore declared righteous by works of law shall be no flesh.'

So which is it -----is it our faith in Christ -that we strive to obtain --or is it the Faith of Christ that we possess by His Grace and not of any works by us ----

Could some of the translators ---translated this wrongly from the Greek

---it will change the faith role ----if it is Faith OF Jesus ---------it is His Faith we have in us ---it is not our Faith that we work to get

I say ----
If we think that we are suppose to have faith in Jesus ----we are always striving ---working--- to have more Faith ----we say I don't have enough faith yet for this or that ----when it is not about our Faith in Jesus --it is about Jesus Faith that is already there for us to access -----
Mark 4 ---Jesus is asleep when the storm comes and He says -----
“Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
The Greek word for Have is echō (----to have, i.e. to hold
  1. to have (hold) in the hand -----to have i.e. own, posses
They already possessed His Faith they just didn't know it ------they didn't have to work for the Faith ---they possessed already ----faith is a free Gift from God ----we can't work to get God's faith ----and so many are striving to get enough faith --

Interesting Read all --I just posted this section

The phrase is consistently rendered in English translations as “faith in Jesus Christ.” The Greek, however, says, “Pistis Iesou Christou,” which means the faith of Jesus Christ or Jesus Christ’s faith.
Both of the nouns, faith and Jesus Christ, are genitive possessive. Remember, genitive possession denotes ownership, meaning Jesus owns the faith.
But translating it as “in” makes it sound like we need to put OUR faith IN Jesus, and we miss the importance of understanding that the faith belongs to Jesus — it is His!
Romans 3:22 is an important verse to correctly understand how God’s righteousness comes to us.
Is it by Jesus’ faith or putting our faith in Jesus that we are made righteous?
The NLT (New Living Translation) says, “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.” The ESV (English Standard Version) says, “The righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.” And the CEV (Contemporary English Version) says, “He (God) accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ.” That’s only three translations, but MOST translations say something similar. I found only a few that say faith OF Jesus Christ, the KJV, Douay-Rheims Bible, Darby Bible Translation, and Young’s Literal Translation.
Why is an understanding of the words OF or IN critical?

Why is an understanding of the words OF or IN critical?

Because the faith OF Jesus Christ says that it’s a free gift, a FINISHED work!

But faith IN Jesus Christ makes it something we need to do to become righteous or that God ONLY accepts people BECAUSE of their faith in Jesus. And that’s just not true. That makes it about OUR works, instead of His FINISHED works.

Here is an another article on this

Faith is never our work. Ephesians 2:8.9 says very clearly, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
One principle of Bible interpretation is using a clear passage to interpret unclear ones. If there is any sense to Jesus having faith, it has to do with the new covenant. Here are key NT references to that covenant, which has two parts, God's commitment to us ("faith") and our commitment to him ("faith"):
Luk_22:20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.
2Co_3:6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Heb_9:15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Heb_10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”
Heb_13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,
The "new" covenant is a new form of the "old" covenant given to Abraham and Israel.

Hes calling for our faith to be put in him and promising salvation

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ( this way everyone can believe if they choose between blessing and cursing )

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-

We gotta believe in Jesus consciously when the tests come

This man asked Jesus for a miracle and someone then casts a word of doubt at him jesus speaks up to call his belief

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:36‬ ‭KJV‬l

when we don’t believe that’s the issue

“And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:58‬ ‭

why didn’t he just believe for them ?

The reason the gospel had to be preached to everyone is so that they have the chance to accept and believe and have faith or reject and deny and be damned

our faith has to be placed in Christ by us freely

The bible gives the answer to this:

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
As I see that verse, I see this verse

New International Version

The head of Ephraim is Samaria,(A)
and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son.
If you do not stand(B) firm in your faith,(C)
you will not stand at all.’”(D)

All, anyone has to do is doubt, even a little bit, in any done for them by God through Son.
For me, I see even if I get healed physically as most people want, I see that even in me. Yet if "I" do not get Spiritual birth from God what good is physical healing when I will die one day anyway?
God came to earth in Son for us y'all, for us to live a new life in God's spirit and Truth for us, this being the Holy Spirit (God himself) to lead us, only if one is willing for this, otherwise all else is not good to me as I see:
Seeing those sitting in Moses' seat, getting rewards from others. Will that be the only reward?
I see? That is not for me, anyone else thank you, do you see what does it profit anyone to gain the whole world and lose thier soul over being selfish and manipulating others for your self gain? No thank you

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

all have faith it’s how humans operate we can put our faith in science money government ourselves ect or we can put our faith in Jesus the Lord and accept his judgements and live

Hakawaka said ---------The bible gives the answer to this:

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

This is your scripture in full here ---really read it -----

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.

26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,

28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.

34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

She says this ----

28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.

So we see above that she had Faith in Jesus' Healing Power to heal her ------but it was His Faith that he imparted to her thought His Cloak that healed her ------it was not Her Faith that did the Healing ------

This verse tell you that -----30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

That is how I see this healing -----you can see it different -----
