we just kinda ignored it or learned to ignore it and get on with the job. Flirting back was seen as a sign you accepted it. You couldnt report him to management because all the management were blokes too and wouldnt have understood..cos only the gals would get harassed.

This happens a lot in male dominated workplaces. In female dominated ones the males working in them dont really get the overload of morning teas with cakes all the time. But they just eat them anyway, nothing they could do to stop women from wanting to be social and chit chat.

I've actually been a male working in a nearly 100% female workplace. Everyone was normally very friendly toward me, but when it rained it poured. There didn't seem to be much of a middle ground. They generally seemed to dislike each other.

I resigned from the job in under a year. I was one of man in a long line of males to resign from that job quickly.

In under 6 months I had my first incident with a co-worker and ended up in front of the Human Resources manager filing a complaint. If that gives you any idea of what it was like for me.

Feint heart does not win fair maiden. Once you have prayed you must be prepared to take bold decisive action. God is not going to simply drop a spouse in your lap. Love is an action. So is prayer.

Sometimes he can though. I did hear a story of a woman who had a flat tyre and a passer by who stopped to help her change the tyre later became her husband.

Funny you mentioned about a flat tire. My car is in the dealership at this moment for a tire replacement, oil change, and coolant flush and change. Very interesting story that you related. This is about how it works as you just never know who you are going to meet or how that person may change your life. Hopefully, any change is a positive difference. So, the guy is church was afraid to talk to a lady that he had an interest in so he decided to pray about it rather than gathering his courage, taking a chance, and introduce himself. Later, the church lady blows a tire, some guy happens by, changes it for her and ends up being her husband.

Yes u agree that God does expect us to act on feelings and thoughts and he have us commom sense ect and yes there is wisdom in just getting in with things and there is also wisdom in seeking God too.
I know Christian's who have just got on with things and end up in a real mess and just can't trust their own judgments and become much more prayerful and cautious..yet I have know others who just get on with things...date the person...get engaged....get married....raise a family....

Yes he can and he doez too...my friend went on holiday for a break and one day she had problems with her camera and a stranger came over and gave her a hand..they clicked and this guy was actually from the same church as her.A group in her church had organised a trip to the same location to.
They have married over 17 years and have a son whose now at uni.
There are no real set rules how God brings people together...its often very specific to the individuals in involved.
Love that story you mentioned...sounds romantic.
Next time I'm out and about I will keep my eye open for any women with a flat car tyre..

Well you never know what around the corner in life...God opens doors in our lives and also closes door too..and I love hearing how couples meet the way God works is so very wide.
Funny though I heard a story about a woman who believed God told her who her husband..but she didnt even know the guy to even talk too..so.she brought the wedding dress ect..confessing love for him ect...but the guy somehow found out and made it clear that he had no romantic interest in her whatsoever....she was devastated...

Balance is the key in many situations mixed with command sense and prayer..

plus at times people can believe God has told then someone is their partner...in the end it proves to be a clear deception.

..and yet there are cases where it has been God..🤷‍♀️😊👍

Yer or the blame the other person for being in rebellion to what they are saying God has ment to have told them(it happened in my church a few years ago)...
All ends in confusion..and also makes the deceived person insecure about things and worries about whether they heard about God about other things...

But this is the way to help you check if someone is romantically interested in you, particularly if you are interested in them. Back in the day I was racking my brains to think of something to litmus test my (now) husband. So finally, I posted not to him, but as my status on skype, since we were chatting there. I wrote a descriptive dreamy post about this single most special piece of the sky. I knew that if he asked where was the place...

A friend would not ask. Only someone who wants to search out all that's important to you to the utmost. Your friend would just smile at your dreamy self or maybe say "nice post!", but who would actually inquire into nitty gritty details of a poetic musing? This is how your litmus post is supposed to be, so think of it well; something deeply personal to you and a bit cryptic, begging for a question; something your friend would maybe hit like but too personal to really relate and ask; but if you were in love and the person you were in love with wrote that, you'd want to know detail about it; and post it not to them but as your status, or on profile.

Them not asking isn't sure proof, however, if they do ask... you know what to do :cool:

That was very interesting about your applying a romantic litmus test to your prospective spouse. Exactly, a friend would not comment in detail on your poetic musing but a future best friend would and you married him. Well played.

Hi SoulWeaver nice to see you here on this thread.I smile when I read you post because using a bit of psychology from time to time definitely helps.I think if you like someone but are unsure if the like you back can be one if the most scary things coz it makes you feel kinda apprehensive about stuff.
If someone likes you their reactions can either be obvious or confusing..coz I know some people are either shy or a bif reserved coz they don't wanna come across as too keen....
I do agree though that if someone I liked put something out that required some deep interaction ect..i wouldn't hesitate to wanna know more.....yet I also have genuine understanding of emphatic way of relating to people at times too..👍👍
