Rome renamed the land of Judea after Israel's extinct ancient enemies the Philistines as spite .. Jesus is a direct descendant from King David through Nathan through Mary

and an even deeper truth....Isaiah predicts what happens to that land under the banner of Palestinia and even names the current 4 cities under Palestinian control and exempting the one currently under Jewish control.......!!!!

I understand. It's my first time seeing these pictures. I grew up seeing Jesus portrayed as a white man.
I apologize if I sounded a bit harsh. I read about this many times in various places, and kind of wanted to put together a response with non recent pictures as much as I could, so people can see for themselves that it's historically been different in other places, Europe included.

What worries me is that some people say that Jesus must come in a specific "skin color package" (like a Barbie), or they won't accept Jesus if He's not their race. By that logic, since Jesus isn't of Indian or East Asian or Arabic descent, then Indians and the East Asian and Arabs can't relate to Him and Jesus then did not come for them... Caucasian too then, since Jesus was Jewish... Such teachings are straight from the enemy. He can't stand God's plan of every tribe and color and nation gloriously following Jesus.

When distinct people's convert to Christ, over time, they tend to depict Him with some of what makes them distinct.

I think Jesus is pleased with that.

I find it interesting that other religions and ethnic groups try to make Jesus like themselves.

Everybody wants a piece of Him. No other religious leader is so esteemed that other religions claim them as being in reality one of their own. Just Jesus.

When I see a portrait of Jesus that makes Him look like the locals I see their love for Our Lord. I definitely don't see anything to complain or worry about when it comes to the outward appearance of Jesus taking on the physical characteristics of the locals who are devoted to Him.

Ironic how this is the year 2020 and still people have many misconceptions of who their God in human form was. If we take Josephus word for it, with Isaiah's description, The WORD made flesh was short, hunchback, black skinned, long faced with an even bigger nose, and to top it all off, He had one uni-eyebrow!

Of course, in Heaven, in His natural God Form, He will be as Light and Bright as the sunshine itself.

But your thread is a great reminder of why God was not a respecter of persons. And we are to love everyone like they are our Brother/Sister.

I say make the eyebrow one uni-brow, stand Him in the sunshine for a few days, and who knows!

That image has been around for more than a year...

People talk about what Jesus may have looked like pre-resurrection seemingly forgetting that He was so altered in His physical appearance post-resurrection that even those who knew Him well did not readily recognize Him :)

True, that image has been around since last time the Catholics paid homage to the Shroud.

What I think is going to be so amazing is when we either die or are gathered by the Second Coming, our own selves will go through a transformation and we will recognize Christ Immediately. I have seen literally thousands of pictures depicting Christ and always thought He would look different in person.

When we think of going through our own transformation into our Heavenly Body, we won't look anything like we did here in this life. We will have a resemblance. But how the collection of pictures depict us all throughout this Earthly existence, not a single one will be of who we become once we transform.

It claims that Forensic Science picture of Jesus has been circulating Science realms since December 2015.

So I was wrong in my first post!

I did not say Jesus was Arabian. I said his skin color was more Arabian than black or white.
Yes, somebody already explained that to me, my apologies. I am wondering if the other guy will come back, the one who said Jesus was Arabic, as if Christ was descended from Ishmael's line and not Isaac's :censored:

All I'm focused on is the color of the spirit of Christ.
