The blind man Jesus healed didn't fit in to their club. As for our Lord,still not a misfit though. Jesus was/is God. not really gonna fit in anywhere down here so He changes us to fit with Him

So Jesus didn't fit in to their circle either. Problem is, their club is in his vineyard.

again, why are people comparing Jesus to themselves (not saying necessarily that you are but some in the thread are)
Jesus was never going to fit in because He is God!
we are not supposed to fit into the world
this thread is just off base IMO. it started out one way but has gone off the rails as far as biblical understanding goes IMO

If i were to pick some of the fruits of the holy spirit that needs more culitvation amongst the body of Christ it would be KINDNESS. And GENTLENESS
Not that love, peace, joy, faithfulness, patience, goodness, gentleness, temperance arent importance but the focus in todays world and the church seems to have neglected kindness.
Why because the world goes its own way, not thinking of others before themselves, putting self interest first, and sadly the church seems to follow. The 'we're number one' mentality of competition and striving neglects kindness. The ability to listen, thats kindness.
Often ive noticed in church settings its the one who can make the most noise thats heard. And people that are naturally quiet, maybe introverts, are shut out. The strong are revered and the weak shunned. This should not be so. Its the exact opposite, when we are weak, He is strong.
Also how can we hear that still small voice when everything is so noisy and strident in church. We cant. If you arent in the praise band you're not even hooked up to the amplifier. Amplifiers arent gentle, they can make everything sound screechy and distorted.
Ive visited a lot of church settings and sadly many of them are the same. The preacher in the pulpit is often the noisiest, the one who most wants to argue, and talk over everyone else. Sometimes he'll quite dozens of scriptures so that your flipping all over the bible and losing the train of thought and cant follow but since he quoted dozens its seems impressive. The lead worship singer sometimes instead of leading worship, will put on a performance instead. I dont know why some churches are like this. Are they filming it for tv? Well in some cases they actually do. This isnt a service, its a show!
Having said that there may be some churches that are not like this but this just seems typical of many. I just hang out at the library...
Or the garden...if they have one and havent ripped it up for more carpark.

One, there is a bible college up the road from me. I wanted to have a group bible study in their library and thought it would be a good place to have it. Even though my group never enrolled as students there, we still wanted to read the Bible. We were reading in the public library, but there wasnt any place to do it anymore as it was crowded and we couldnt get a table.
So i thought lets have it there. Well seems no place to read the Bible there either, and the rooms were very hot and uncomfortably airless. So we moved to their cafe, which was next to the librsry on campus but their music was really loud we couldnt even hear ourselves think let alone read out loud. I asked them politely can you please turn the music down a bit, we want to read the Bible. (It was loud rock music, apparently christian, but loud)
You know what they said, NO we cant turn the music down. Management wont let us.
?! I thought oh no where we can we just meet and sit and read the Bible in a public place out of the rain. Mcdonalds?
Two. Well i had this converstion with one of the librarians at this bible college and asked if they read the Bible and he said no he didnt believe the Bible. I was like really you work as a librarian here and you dont even believe?
I was very shocked, but maybe not as much as seeing these bible college students smoking behind the sheds. I thought well this bible college isnt much of a bible college is it.

Ya got it backwards,
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Mt10:25

When you say fit into "the world", that's true, but that system occupies space that happens to be in Gods universe. Were staying. They're leaving,

It is because Jesus experienced God's wrath on behalf of every believer, satisfying it completely, that God's wrath no longer rests upon us and that we have been reconciled to God.

God used man to fulfill His requirement for sin which says, "the wages is death," our sins, not His.
