That's for sure my friend. I just pointed that out before I read your post. We seem to be in agreement on this.Keep in mind two in agreement may be for many reasons………..cs-101

….something about weeping and gnashing of teeth too if I remember correctly.how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out. Jn.9:34
A very good thing brother. This thread is about splintered outcasts finding each other and coming together. A rather good thing, actually.
I try to get in a word or two occasionally. Some folks always like to have the last word...
Word.![]()
Right.and there it is right there
feed us and give us stuff, but don't tell us the truth
The blind man Jesus healed didn't fit in to their club. As for our Lord, still not a misfit though. Jesus was/is God. not really gonna fit in anywhere down here so He changes us to fit with Him![]()

Right.
The blind man Jesus healed didn't fit in to their club. As for our Lord,
And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. Mk.12:8
So Jesus didn't fit in to their circle either. Problem is, their club is in his vineyard.
that's a recipe for some bad tasting soup
My favorite soup is chunky chicken noodle.
Ya got it backwards, again, why are people comparing Jesus to themselves (not saying necessarily that you are but some in the thread are)
When you say fit into "the world", that's true, but that system occupies space that happens to be in Gods universe. Were staying. They're leaving,Jesus was never going to fit in because He is God!
we are not supposed to fit into the world
this thread is just off base IMO. it started out one way but has gone off the rails as far as biblical understanding goes IMO
splintered outcasts?
Jesus was a misfit?

Ya got it backwards,
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Mt10:25
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. Jn.16:2
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Lk.6:22
When you say fit into "the world", that's true, but that system occupies space that happens to be in Gods universe. Were staying. They're leaving,
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity Mt.13:41
The cross of Christ is the rejection of God on earth, an indictment against mankind.
For me it was during a time of prayer alone at home. I was attending a nondenominational church at the time, but the doctrine of that church was Baptist, as the Pastor was indoctrinated at a Baptist college.
That church taught that God poured his wrath out on Jesus at the cross. I asked God if that was true. I heard no voice, but a thought came to me that wasn't my own which said, "No, mankind did." That really shook me. In short, I began to reread the Bible from that perspective and it makes far more sense to me now.
Thanks for the thread kinda.
By some strange coincidence that's my favorite too.My favorite soup is chunky chicken noodle.
I wonder what was in Jacob's mess of pottage?By some strange coincidence that's my favorite too.
I think it was lentils. Wife made me a bowl of those once. Disgusting. At least by themselves.I wonder what was in Jacob's mess of pottage?
