The system is down we have time to choose
Can we make a better plan, or do we all have to lose?
How did our ancestors ever live before phones, internet or world trade should be made clear
My grandparents followed the 100 mile rule just to survive each year
Nothing on which their lives depended on came from outside those 100 mile borders
If not they could die if they weren’t didn’t become life essential hoarders
No, they knew what they needed to make it through each year’s lean time
They had much less than us so they watch every cent and dime
They had developed a better way when they needed money for the bills they couldn’t pay
They would talk to their debtors until an agreement was reached that was okay
A barter system was necessary to keep life’s wheel greased so to spin
A person’s word carried the debt through till their crops or money came in
They didn’t put all their eggs in one basket they all had to develop different talents and skills
They did everything they could to make money to pay their bills
It was necessary to know and bond with your neighbours their help was in need
Most would share when families were poor, there wasn’t so much greed
So maybe this can become something better the lesson is in how we decide
What we do with this chance and how it is applied
Do you think we could change and go back in times past
Or will you follow the new world order and see if it will last
Soon the veil will be removed, our eyes will see clear
Remember that what we put outwards it that which reflects back from life’s mirror
Can we make a better plan, or do we all have to lose?
