If the law had ended, why did Jesus say:

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; 3 therefore, do whatever they teach you and follow it;

Because some of the audience wasn't righteous like righteous like Abel was.... before the law ever even came. The law is not made for a righteous man.

1 Timothy 1:9 KJV
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

He said it to everyone though, and the Law was clearly in force.

I am confused now what Luke really means.

Jesus was preaching the gospel in Luke. The law, because of our inability to keep it, drives us to Christ.

The bible will lead us to whatever we're looking for, if we're looking for the law we'll find the law in most scripture. If we're looking for grace, then all scripture will be grace. If we're looking for antichrist then all scripture will be about antichrist. If we look for Christ all scripture will be Christ.

God gives us the desires of our heart... if we look forward to the "last seven years" then scripture will show you "the last seven years" BUT if we looking for Christ in scripture, then we see the truth. Because the book is written about HIM.

What are you guys looking for in scripture?

Remember, when you read the pages of the bible, it's not JUST A BOOK, the word of God is alive. The word has the ability to lead you into all truth or whatever fantasy you're interested in. If you didn't catch what's being said there, it's saying that the word of God works in conjunction with the Word of God to discern the thoughts and intents of your mind and lead you appropriately.... Isn't God a gracious God!

Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Maybe you guys can see why I'm KJV only now.... if your hearts intent is to change the word of God to fit your "truth", then God will oblige. God even accomodated you, as he has allowed the devil to create many different words to suit your fancy.

Oh Lord, we've morphed into a KJV only thread.

Is this verse in the KJV?

"And I will send the perfect translation, and it shall be named after an English homosexual King"

If someone knows English, but it is not their mother tongue should they still read KJV over their native language bible?

Yes, of course, you must read the KJV.

As the apostle says:

"First to Israel, then to the English speakers, and then finally, to the Barbarians. "

God taught you English Bogadile so you too could be a worthy KJV reader.

You can read what ever bible you want, I'm not telling you what bible to read, I asked if you see WHY I'm KJV only but apparently you didn't see it. :)

It's spiritual stuff, most people only care about the letter.

No, I'm sure God preserved his word in all languages... I only speak English so I can't speak about other languages. Remember how CLOVEN tongues landed on every one and they began to speak the WONDERFUL WORKS of God. God is well above language barriers.

But what about the other languages? What Bible should they read? In here both of our common bibles are translated from the other manuscripts, not textus receptus.

I certainly can't see why you are KJV only. I'd be too if the only other choices were the Watch Tower version of the Bible. The Mormon's Bible appears to be the KJV1611 too. I used to be KJV only until I found out all the translation errors and interpolations it had. I like the ESV more, but most of the Bibles are okay when it comes to the central gospel message. We have family members that are KJV only. it is almost like they are in their own cult.

I'll tell you what, if you start speaking about the KJV being the inerrant word of God, the devils scurry into action lol. Not you J7, the spirit that enrages you over someone suggesting that there is a perfect bible.

No worries, I used to be in that camp to0 until God opened my eyes... many years longer than I've been in the KJV in fact. But no this is not a KJV thread and I'm sorry I brought it up.

Here is how you can Prove the Law is still RELEVANT as long as MORTAL men and women live on this Earth:

Romans 3:20 (NCV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.

The purpose for the LAW has NEVER CHANGED, is was designed to PROVE TO MANKIND, that they are sinners, who can NEVER live up to GOD's standard for Righteousness, thereby driving them to seek GOD's MESSIAH, to redeem them from their sins.

THUS HE MEANT IT LITERALLY, WHEN HE SAID:

Matthew 5:18 (KJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Good question, but they do not want to think about that.

So the old covenant is still in effect today huh?

Yes, that was before the KJV1611 came on the seen. King James threaten to remove the heads of the translators if they didn't translate the Bible perfectly. This was the time of Shakespeare. The translators were quit taken in by him; in fact, they put Shakespeare in the KJV as a goof on his birthday, but King James wasn't aware of it, but we know it today. Did you know that?

Hmm and I thought all this time that the Freemasons wrote lol. King James was homosexual too. You should know that any bible that's a stumbling block and ROCK OF OFFENCE has to be the inerrant word of God.

I really don't want to discuss this.
