Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
70 weeks,490 years,are determined upon Israel to get in the truth,which is to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah.
God gave Israel a blessing and a cursing in Deuteronomy,that if they followed God in the truth that God will bless them,and their nation would flourish,but if they disobeyed God for an extended period of time,God would give them a curse,and cause them to be led away captive by other nations,but each time He would also bring them back to their land.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Christianity was spreading,and Israel had 70 years to come to the truth that Jesus is the Messiah,but they did not,so God allowed the Roman Empire to overthrow Jerusalem,and scatter the Jews.
When the Jews were scattered in to the nations,they could not come to the truth that Jesus is the Messiah,and when they became a nation again,and to this day,Israel as a nation has not come to the truth that Jesus is the Messiah.
So the 70 weeks could have not been fulfilled,for at the end of the 70 weeks,Israel has to be in the truth that Jesus is the Messiah.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Israel is blinded in part,until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in,which Israel as a nation does not accept Jesus as the Messiah,and when salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles,when they take the mark of the beast,then Israel will not be blinded in part,but Israel as a nation will accept Jesus as the Messiah.
Israel is still blinded in part,so the 70 weeks have not been fulfilled,which the last week will be the time that God brings Israel to the truth,by way of 2 witnesses,fulfilling the 70 weeks,and causes all people that do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom,and take the mark,so God can end this sin business.
It is the man of sin,the antichrist,that establishes a covenant with Israel that causes peace in the Middle East,and the Jews will rebuild their temple,and go back to animal sacrifices with no hassle from the Palestinians.
Dan 8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
Dan 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

It is the man of sin,the prince to come of the people that overthrew Jerusalem,that establishes that covenant,and also we see that this prince to come is in the time of the end,not back in the past in 70 A.D.,for he scatters the power of the holy people,which is during the last three and one half years of the 7 years period,and when he does that then comes the end when the Son shall deliver up the kingdom to the Father.
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

In Daniel chapter 11 the last king does not regard the God of his fathers,and does not regard any god,and here he steps in to the Jews temple,and claims to be God,which he will tell them he is God,and their Messiah,and tells them to stop animal sacrifices.
Also the Bible says that the saints will not be gathered unto Christ until there is a falling away first,and the man of sin steps in to the Jews temple,and claims to be God,which has to be at the end time,coming in the future,for in the past back in 70 A.D.,there was not a falling away,for the Church was early in age then,and no person has ever exalted themselves as much as the man of sin will exalt himself,which he recognizes no God,and exalts himself above all people,which no person has ever done that to that level in the past,and is the time that God is going to allow him to deceive all people that do not love God,for it is time for God to put down the world that loves not the truth,so it could not of happened in the past.
Israel as a nation has 70 weeks to acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah,which they have not done yet,for they are still blinded in part,and the prince to come will establish a covenant,and Israel will go back to animal sacrifices,and the prince to come will step in to their temple,and claim to be God to try to deceive the Jews,but God will turn Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah,and the 70 weeks will be fulfilled,for Israel will then be in the truth.
It is obvious that this happens at the end time,for the time of the abomination in the book of Daniel tells that it is in the end time,and in 2 Thessalonians it can only happen in the end time.
The 70th week has not been fulfilled yet.
Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
When the man of sin claims to have harnessed the power of nature,and achieved more power than any other person can obtain,all that follow him will fight against Israel,in which the saints come back with God,and God saves Israel,and puts down the world.
This going against Israel was not in the past,for all nations of the world have never attacked Israel,so it is a future event.
If we are going to discuss "symbolic". Could you please explain the meaning in Revelation of the lamb before the throne in Heaven looking as if he had been slain though lives?

All those who have never heard the voice of God and obeyed his commandments are liars. Even atheists can read the Bible because they know the Bible cannot tell who is reading it. The Bible doesn't know when a liar is reading the words and using them for his own benefit.
I speak for our Creator, not for the Bible that I know has deceived every single reader of it just like the Jews were deceived when they read their scriptures.
2 Corinthians 3;
14: But their minds were hardened; for to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away.
15: Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their minds;
16: but when a man turns to the Lord the veil is removed.
17: Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Only those who are born in the spirit of God ( Christ ) will hear the voice of God and obey his commandments.

The Qur'an teaches you to "kill your enemies" strike them in the neck, etc. If you see a Jew hiding behind a tree, kill him. See the difference? Our Bible teaches:

Jesus is needed by the fearful inhabitants who believe they're real people living on a real planet called Earth. I only need the Word of God to live forever.
