Mr Desdichado, your take on the thread is your personal view on it. As goes for your assertion that it was a contemptuous rant devoid of reason. There's a lot conservatives that agree with what I wrote.
Please don't resort to acting like an amateur psychologist, it doesn't look good on your part.
I don't want to argue, but instead of using language like in your response, why don't you just disagree, plain and simple? Why this urge to add highly charged rhetoric to the debate?.
As I said, I know I sometimes can be quite a bee etch, so you might could be right.
Are we good?
Have you not read your way thru this and similar threads?
So the take-away from all this is that, in a true free market capitalist society, everyone should be a successful entrepreneur and/or corporate executive, and if God didn't give you the skill set to pull that off you deserve to be sick and live under a bridge.
Hokay, good to know...
Sheesh. Jesus must be rolling over in His grave.
Hey Ricky,
I think that probably IS the true position of capitalists who are LIBERTARIANS.
I don't think that applies to capitalists who are true CONSERVATIVES, or who have a biblical world view.
Capitalists who are conservative, and christian, DO believe enormously in compassion and helping the needy.
Where we DISAGREE is on the BEST METHODS to enact this compassion and help.
Of course, in ANY system I don't think we can expect lost men to act like anything other than lost men.
It isn't going to be perfect.
I am not going to continue with this. People can read the first few pages and draw their own conclusions. It certainly fit the profile of something other than a David French, Ben Shapiro, Jonah Goldberg, etc piece.
I would go so far as to say that it doesn't even fairly cover most libertarians.
Most. There are anarchist, hyper-individualist, or objectivist cranks. Those are not the types who appear on this site, however. Hence my confusion.

I'll have to sort and categorize my Libertarians much more carefully.
: )
Most of the Libertarians I run into are some variety of anarchist.
I'd have to prefer anarchy to communism... but it isn't anywhere near the top of my list.
I was hoping someone would notice thatJesus is not in a grave.
There always seems to be somebody rolling over in their graveI was hoping someone would notice that
Point being, that Jesus taught against hording riches, He taught us to treat each other equally and fairly, and if you're going to go against that then He might as well have stayed in the grave.
What happened to CharlieGrown?
And also,I think Rachael and Kim may have left.IDK
Yeah, I saw where Rachel asked for her accout to be closed after the election, but I just don't think kim has been back.
You know, we do, including the working poor, but I'm finding out they like poverty and don't want our help.Give all that you own to the poor then and follow Jesus.
