It is possible for everyone to maintain a myth? Only so far. it's that consistency of departure vs supportive evidence that wrangles one to defeat. One long disproven casualty - 'Founders were deist'. Exhibit A from a host of the same:

The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity. John Adams 1796

The moment they were able to foment these successfully as myths, was the point of polluted-consciences we see full age today.
amendment clause do they Constitution states that you don't get to pass laws that favor any one religion or that discriminate against anyone religion.

in other words, the Constitution applies to everyone, not just christians.

Your right, how fitting for this sub-forum (corruption) it is to provide the exact point our corrupt countrymen had to wait before fulfilling their darkened hearts?

These are the original requirements in state constitutions which persisted until the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Torcaso v. Watkins (1961) that such requirements for public office at the state level violated the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

That’s a hundred and eightyfive years it took. Not a bad run of blessings and blessed longevity, eh? But before we fully cover this up with some other corruption, let’s see just how far we’ve fallen with this corruption on full-display that brother Kirk was talking about?

Delaware "I…profess faith in GOD THE FATHER, and in JESUS CHRIST His only Son, and in the HOLY GHOST, one God, blessed for evermore."

Pennsylvania "I do believe in one GOD, the Creator and Governor of the Universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked."

New Jersey "All persons, professing a belief in the faith of any PROTESTANT sect, who shall demean themselves peaceably under the government…shall be capable of being elected."

Georgia "Representatives shall be chosen out of the residents in each county…and they shall be of the PROTESTANT religion."

Connecticut "By the Providence of GOD…having from their ancestors derived a free and excellent Constitution…whereby the legislature depends on the free and annual election…"

Massachusetts "I…declare, that I believe the CHRISTIAN religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth."

Maryland "No other test…ought to be required…than such oath of support and fidelity to this State…and a declaration of a belief in the CHRISTIAN religion."

South Carolina "No person shall be eligible to a seat…unless he be of the PROTESTANT religion."

New Hampshire "No person shall be capable of being elected…who is not of the PROTESTANT religion."

Virginia "It is the mutual duty of all to practice CHRISTIAN forbearance, love, and charity towards each other."

New York "Appealing to the SUPREME JUDGE of the world…A firm reliance on the protection of DIVINE PROVIDENCE."

All persons affected by this darkening are now covered by our prayers. Lord, may the light of your Gospel shine ever brighter for them!

My apologies for not investigating more thoroughly. Let's finish off that list with these two:

North Carolina This declaration stated that any person who denied the existence of God or the truth of the Protestant religion, the divine authority of the Old or New Testaments, or held religious principles incompatible with the safety of the State, would be ineligible to hold public office.

Vermont Members require a declaration acknowledging belief in God, the divine inspiration of the Old and New Testaments, and owning and professing the Protestant religion.

Wrong! Eight states still include language in their constitutions either requiring state officeholders to have particular religious beliefs or specifically protecting those who do. However, the requirements are unenforceable because of the 1961 Supreme Court decision. The states are:

Arkansas (Article 19 Section 1)
Maryland (Declaration of Rights, Article 37)
Mississippi (Article 14, Section 265)
North Carolina (Article 6 Section 8)
Pennsylvania (Article 1 Section 4)
Specifically protects officeholders with religious belief but is silent on whether those without such beliefs are also protected. The required beliefs include belief in a Supreme Being, and belief in a future state of rewards and punishments.
South Carolina (Article 17 Section 4)
Tennessee (Article 9 Section 2)
Texas (Article 1 Section 4)
