I allow Scripture to translate itself. That's the beauty of the KJV. All modern versions cannot do this.
You put your trust in scholars as you indicated. It's that what God desires of you?
In order to properly study, one needs the right words not just the overall thought.
The translations and interpretations you come up with aren't biblical or true. Seek some help from others.

In Erasmus and King Jimmy's subjects you trust. Your above? A straw man and freudian slip, since you put your trust in these men yourself, you assume that others do as well, subconsciously.
In the modern versions we have both. KJV? Too many errors for those who don't blindly follow Erasmus, King Jimmy and his subjects, Sam Gipp, Peter Ruckman, Gail Riplinger &c.

You should hear me talk. You would believe everything I say I can respect that, I have no problem with people liking it. It's a legitimate translation. It's just the 'Onlyism' I disagree with.
My trust is in God, he speaks more than one language. And you are telling porkies. You CANNOT understand ALL that is written in the KJV from the standpoint of a native Modern English speaker without looking things up.
Even the word-order is different in some places than ours is now. You aren't BORN with an innate ability to understand Shakespeare. The very act of reading it means you MUST decipher it.
Even the current reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II of The Royal House of Windsor isn't a native speaker of the King James English. So stop making lofty claims that it magically 'translates itself' on sight.

If you trust God, then you must trust His words. I do look up words I do not understand...using Scripture itself. Ever heard of the first mention principle? Probably not since it does not apply to the new versions where words are not important.

James White is an apologist for modern Bible versions and an anti-KJV propagandist. He is definitely not a textual scholar and his writings have been debunked by others who are better equipped to be objective about this issue. It would appear that he has a financial stake in this matter, but that is second-hand information.
An apologist, he is debating muslims, catholics etc.
He also debates KJV onlyisms, some interesting discussions can be seen on youtube.
