You did state "Of course if you don't believe you would never get baptized".

Which is stating the obvious.

Ultimately, salvation is a free gift and we cannot earn it through a sacrament, or any other way.

If you believe that sprinkling some water on your head atones for you sin, then that is what
you believe.

No I don't belived sprinkling water on your head atones for your sins, that is not in HIS word.

I do belive what HIS word says ONLY.

Did you look at the scripture I shared?

JESUS said,

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Of course if you don't believe you would never get baptized.

JESUS said,

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Two verse PROVING how sins are remitted.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

No I don't belived sprinkling water on your head atones for your sins, that is not in HIS word.

But you do believe a sacrament will atone for your sin.

Here is a verse you quoted.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins
, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Now a close look at the verse you quoted.

"be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins"

Here it is in black and white.

FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS

So are you saying that a sprinkling with water plus Jesus is the atonement?

Because that is literally what that verse (Acts 2:38) is saying.

Or are you saying that Jesus Christ alone is the reason we are saved?

You need to accurately state what you mean when you quote verses from the N.T.

Why would two people disagree that salvation is a free gift given to those that believe?

Because one person was indoctrinated/brain-washed by tulipism (God makes some sinners "believe")
and the other person believes the Gospel that God is omniloving and just (per GW such as John 3:16 & 1Tim. 2:3-4)
and offers every sinner the opportunity to repent (Matt. 7:7)/believe (Acts 16:31)/receive His HS (Rom. 5:5)/reflect His love (Gal. 5:22-23).

I did just share HIS word right?

Who do you work for?

You do know your trying to convince people not to follow HIS word right???

You are welcome to beleive anything you like, but to try to convince people to go down that wide road with you is reall bad.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

Or are you saying that Jesus Christ alone is the reason we are saved?

You need to accurately state what you mean when you quote verses from the N.T.

I told you what I believe and it is GOD'S word only.

Then I shared scripture, I didn't tell you any stories or give you my opinion. SO I did say accurately what I mean, HIS word says what it says and means what it means.

Sacrament?????????? That's a catholic thing, right?

No I shared HIS word on how to get rid of our sins, HIS word is very clear.

JESUS when on earth was on a mission, HE completed that mission and left INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT WE MUST DO.

What JESUS does and what "WE" do are two different things.

Does JESUS believing in HIMSELF save us?

Can JESUS repent for us?

Is JESUS here today to forgive us of our sins?

These ARE HIS RULES, I REPEAT THEM.

JESUS said in,

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

JESUS said in,

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Peter, the one with the KEYS TO HEAVEN said this,

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

JESUS send Paul (Saul) to Ananias, who said this,

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

I told you I don't follow any man, I will add UNLESS what comes out of his mouth lines up with GOD'S word.

You may want to check what that gwh guy is saying, he doesn't follow HIS word on how to be saved. I'm not going in to what he believes, you can ask him and keep him in check with GOD'S word. He will never share the verses that I did, he don't follow them.

To answer your question, I am saying to remove our sins we must be baptized in JESUS name.

When I say baptized I mean being immersed in water, totally like it's a watery grave.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

One can't be buried by sprinkling.

No where in HIS word do you see sprinkled, I think that's a catholic thing.

FYI, I don't tell anyone what HIS word means, I let HIS word do the talking!! I DIDN'T DIE FOR YOU.

Now you can see all of the confusion, we have GOD'S word and we have men's opinion.

That is why there are so many different denominations, so who are you going to follow?

Again, JESUS SAID, we MUST be born of water (Acts 2:38) and of spirit (Acts 2:4).

Born of spirit? example.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

As Peter said IT'S FOR ALL.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Did I clear things up? If not I sure will try to answer your questions with HIS word not my opinion.

GOD BLESS YOU in your walk.

You share what you humbly believe is GW along with your comments regarding what it means, as we all do,
so the main need is agreement/unity regarding GRFS as we seek agreement re the rest.
This should be the primary purpose of chatting IMHO:
How to harmonize GW.

I don't share what I belive, I SHARE HIS WORD ONLY.

The comments I make I can back up with HIS word.

The comments you make, you CAN'T.

So, end result your problem is with HIS word not me.

You don't believe we need to be baptized in JESUS name to remove our sins. Acts 2:38, 22:16.

You don't believe when we get filled with the Holy Ghost we will speak with new tongues. Acts 2:33, Mark 16:16

You do believe when we get the Holy Ghost we are filled with love, but can't back it up with scripture.

You don't believe what JESUS says in John 3:5.

You don't believe GOD created the earth in 6 days.

You think the earth is millions of years old, which goes against HIS word.

You and I can't agree on nothing pertaining to HIS word because you follow yourself not JESUS.

Did I harmonize it all correct? I'm sure I left some stuff out.

You disagree, what did I say wrong?

Everything except that I believe it took longer than six 24-hour days to create the universe.

That is my point, you don't agree with HIS word.

I'm not mad at you, we all have choices to make.

FYI, I don't dislike you, you can think anything you like.

I knew that on our first go around and around.

And my point is that you do not agree that HIS word in creation indicates a non-literal understanding of Gen. 1,
and HIS word in 2Pet. indicates that a day can be thousands of years or longer.

I appreciate you have calmed down from our first go around and are now saying you don't dislike me and are not mad at me
instead of calling me names. And I hope you can sense the HS loving you and everyone through me, even when I disagree.

Now can you see why my view/opinion/interpretation is a reasonable understanding of HIS word regarding creation?
Do you want me to explain another or try again to calmly discuss a previous disagreement?

I have never been rattled, I just really don't understand why people just can't follow HIS word period.

His word says what it says and means what it means.

I asked you questions, you gave me answers which DID NOT LINE up with HIS word.

I am very careful with the words I choose and after questing you many times on certain subjects giving you time to search in HIS word to correct yourself I called you what I did.

Was I wrong??? In your opinion I was, but you sure could not back up your opinion with HIS word.

I'm not sure what you call love?

Is love seeing people wrong and not trying to correct them, or not telling them they are going down the wrong road and let them fall off a clift?

No, I can not see you point of view, you sure seem to be a very intelligent man, the problem is you're so intelligent you think your smarter than JESUS.

We always need to be humble.

No reason for us to discuss any your disagreements with HIS word, not unless you make a decision to follow JESUS and not your own opinion.

I don't like people leading others astray from HIS word, I am a voice for JESUS not for man.

If I EVER post my opinion leading someone astray, Please tell me about it.

1. People can (because of MFW) follow GW, but none have done so perfectly other than Jesus.
2. GW is true, but the revelation of it in the Bible may not be clear, because its transmission was like making sausage.
3. My answers did not line up with GW IYO, possibly because our discussion was not sufficiently clear.
4. I also am careful with words and have written my preferred wording in you know where that I often c&p here on CC.
5. IMO you are wrong on some things, but my memory is bad/short, so I could not tell you what those were/are off the top of my head.
6. I call love "concern for someone's eternal welfare".
7. Love is speaking the truth with gentleness and respect (per 1Pet. 3:15).
8. I hope you understand my POV and why I have such, even if you disagree. (I will ignore your insult.)
9. I am glad we agree on the need for humility, because I seem to remember you had a papal complex.
10. The reason for discussing disagreements is to learn which view is better/best and change our opinion to agree with it.
11. I also do not like people leading others astray, especially atheists and those who pervert the Gospel.
12. Okay, ditto.

Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world? And He said, if any man loves me he will keep my teachings.

He that does not love me does not keep my teachings. John 14:21-24

Go ye into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20.

Teach His teachings and baptize is what He told them to do.

Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household. And they spoke unto him all the word of the Lord, and to his household and they baptized them. Acts 16:31-32

Teach and baptize is what they did.
Teach Jesus' teachings.

The word of the Lord is what Jesus preached, His teachings are to be heeded. Jesus Himself is to be believed, for salvation we must believe Jesus.

He that does not love me does not keep my teachings. John 14:24

Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
1 Corinthians 1:13
If anyone does not Love the Lord Jesus Christ, let that person be Anathema! Oh Lord come! 1 Corinthians 16:22

TP, welcome to CC. I agree with your post, but I hope you believe Jesus inspired Paul to be an apostle or means of communicating/revealing part of everything the Lord commanded/GW, and thus those teachings also need to be heeded/kept.

BTW, there is no Psalm 19:17, so perhaps 19:14 is what you meant. It is very good and indicates that David was a prophet whose
words also should be viewed as part of GW/the TOJ. Right?

Since my mission is to get people on the straight path, all I talk about on CC is how to be reborn.

Repent, get baptized in JESUS name to remove our sins and pray for JESUS to fill us with HIS spirit the Holy Ghost like HE filled HIS disciples in Acts 2:4.

His word does not change, that is how we are reborn until JESUS returns.

I noticed you never, or I don't think you put your two cents in my post,

"FOUNDATION, the 12 apostles or Pauls?"

But you did disagree with it.

I'm not asking what you disagree with because I just shared HIS WORD, so it's clear.

One thing you said, something like when we get filled with the Holy Ghost we get filled with love.

Of course that is not true, which is why I called you what I called you it was not an insult it was a wake up call.

HIS word is very clear when we are filled with the Holy Ghost we will speak in tongues, and NOwhere does it say when we are filled with the Holy Ghost we are filled with love NOWHERE.

I don't recall your reply when I asked you how we get rid of our sins?

Specific with HIS word, like how specific it is in Acts 2:38 and 22:16.

Again, no reason to go around and around again, I'm not debating you.

If you have not changed your mind, and claim it still says what you says it says then nothing has changed.

I'm not angry, just confused why anyone would follow man or men instead of HIS word.

Ouch!

1. My mission as a truthseeker (TSer) is this:
TSers seek to learn the best belief and most logical answer to questions concerning ultimate reality. (Matt. 7:7, John 8:46, 1Cor. 2:6&13)
TSers are grateful to all people including both famous philosophers and anonymous acquaintances who help answer these questions. (Acts 17:26-31, 1Pet. 1:10-12)
TSers share their fallible faith with others, hoping they will find what they have learned helpful for understanding ultimate truth. (1Pet. 3:15b, 1Tim. 2:3-6)
TSers hope the Christian view is correct, because there is no better (credible and desirable) way of attaining heaven than NT theism. (Acts 7:51-53, Rom. 1:16-17)
TSers use logic, because they believe God is One/Logos, so right reasoning leads to all truth, both scientific and spiritual. (Isa. 1:18a, Acts 17:17)
TSers want to learn the best belief, so when a contradictory view is deemed to be better, they change their opinion. (1Cor. 13:11, Heb. 6:1-3, cf. Matt. 5:25)
TSers love everyone and thus want to share knowledge with other truthseekers, so they may fellowship (2Tim. 4:3-4, 1John 1:3).

2. Don't know what you said in the thread, but I believe the foundation of faith is Christ/the Gospel.
3. That is your opinion.
4. Matt. 22:37-40, John 13:35, Rom. 5:5 & Gal. 5:6 & 22-23 are some of HIS word indicating the sign of HS-filling is love,
and 1Cor. 12:4-11 teaches that SIT is only one of the gifts.
5. Acts 2:38 and 22:16 need to be harmonized with other passages indicating how to be forgiven of sins, including
Acts 16:30-31, Rom. 3:21-5:1, 1Cor. 1:14-17, 2Cor. 5:14-21, Gal. 1:3-9, 5:1-6, Eph. 2:8-10, Phil. 1:3-11, Col. 1:3-14, 1Thes. 1:2-10, 2Thes. 1:3-8 & 2:13-14, 1Tim. 1:12-14, 2Tim. 1:7-14, Tit. 1:1-3, 2:1-8, Phm. v.4-7.

6. I have tentatively changed my mind about how hateful you appeared to be during the first go around,
based on you saying things now like you are not angry, just confused (although I still must over-look insults).

Over...
