Hey I'm just trying to adds a little humour in. Anyway, where are these people who don't live in America that come here and support the American dream of gun ownership? I don't see them.

Plus, surely this is a democracy. If I think the glorification of weapons doesn't belong here surely I'm allowed to act on that, as long as I'm not aggressive or abusive?

As for everything you are saying, I think snide is the word for your tone.

I have my military for threats of other countries...
I have my guns for threats from mine.

Uganda established gun control in 1970, from 1971-1979 300,000 unarmed Christians were exterminated.

The amount of people killed by their country after the implementation of gun control in just the 20th century, Around 56 million people.

You are more than welcome to become another statistic.... But I know I will not. :)

Snide, snarky, cheeky, smart-alec. Al of those describe my tone accurately. Thanks for noticing.

I would not dream of trying to quell a good debate or examination of an issue you feel strongly about, yet I want to ensure you are prepared for the debate you think you want to get into. So far from what I have seen from you, you aren't. You have no position of your own to present, and you rely on distraction, misdirection, and hyperbole to try to make your points.

I really would like to see you present an argument - a well thought out, intelligent, factual argument. You've managed to be the center of attention in this thread, so the onus is on you to carry the conversation. You want to be heard, so be heard. We look forward to what you have to say, supposing you really do have something to say.

Hey guys. Let's talk your favorite British guns!

Mine is the Lee-Enfield. Tried it my first time at the range. Been in love ever since.

Though mass-produced, it had the elegance of an artisan's piece. Everything about it just seemed to go together. The opposite extreme of the highly-customizable AR-15.

The only british gun I know of is the sten gun, but they're not very impressive.

Death from guns

The most likely use of a gun in death is by suicide. 2/3 of deaths from guns are suicides.

I suppose you could call gun ownership a quick euthanasia program.
Easy to apply, less traumatic than jumping off a bridge or in front of a train etc.

Now the argument goes, it is just a hobby putting lead down a range, seeing how well you
can put a hole in an object a few hundred yards away.

And this is really a christian discussion forum issue? Hey my uzzy is better than my 50 cal
snipers rifle that cost $4,000 to put holes in a can. Hey I can do that with a hammer no
problems.....

It has a respectable history, but I don't like them either.

Submachine guns in general are not my cup of tea. I think modern SBR's and practical pistol carbines have turned them all into museum pieces and range babies.

I think single action revolvers are fun. They look good too. Especially the blued Ruger Vaquero. Western style, handles good and comfortable grip. I sound like a commercial lol.

It's not about glorifying guns. It's about freedom. And America is not the only place you can own guns. I'm currently living in Scandinavia, and I can purchase rifles, hand guns, semi automatics and whatnot here.
