I am in the same mentality as the others that read your posts/threads. It's always" next month" or "in 2 weeks."
I have had little interest in "when" the rapture is. My focus was on who, what, where, why and how. For example, what would we see prior to the rapture, where is the Bible referring to when it says Great Babylon, why does the judgment come, etc. I find it fascinating that we were told all these things thousands of years ago, things that seemed incredible to believe forty years ago, and yet here they are all being fulfilled. However, as I read and studied it became quite clear to me that most of the discourse on this topic is simplistic at best and infantile at worst. I would say the overriding principle for me has been something Peter said which is that no verse is of its own interpretation. That is by far the most prevalent error. This then gets compounded because one doctrine impacts the others the same way legs on a table will impact each other.
I began this journey in 2020 (the blog), I was on another forum but had to shake off the dust and move to this forum. My goal is to be watching for the Lord when He does return. Also, I feel that since He said it would be as the days of Noah and the days of Lot I expect a heads up prior to his coming since both Noah and Lot got a heads up warning.
So if you think it is "always next month or in 2 weeks" you obviously don't read my posts. It is extremely rare for me to even venture my opinion. There are 13,784 posts in my blog. I feel very confident 99% of my posts do not talk about when, much less say either next month or 2 weeks. I have found that with many their heart is not right. They think that knowing when the rapture is will somehow benefit them with the Lord. Knowing when the date of the exam is does not help you pass the exam. That was a much bigger question I had, who gets raptured, why, and who gets left behind, and why. Those are far more important questions than when is it.
So when is it? I have my bunker and supplies........When do I go "underground?"
These are two different questions. The second reveals a lot about your heart. My advice is this, it is reasonable to prepare supplies for those left behind, primarily Bibles, but as James says we should leave food and water as well. However, if I am left behind I am not "going underground". I will share what I have and preach the gospel. I don't care about being arrested and killed. That is better than hiding in a hole in the ground. There is no "surviving the tribulation". I liken it to the period of the exam where you are told you have five minutes left. You make a decision to be 100% for Jesus Christ or you are for the counterfeit Christ. That is the only key thing you need to decide during the tribulation.
Now, the next question, when is it? There are a lot of hints and there is no verse in the Bible that says we will not know the year. It is reasonable to think that it was "hidden". In reality it wasn't so much hidden as not essential to study until the Jews returned to Israel. People point to all the errors made in talking about the Lord's return like what happened in the 80s as some kind of justification for not studying these prophecies. I see it exactly the opposite, I believe these errors were a result of the church not studying these prophecies.
Luke 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
It is a very serious thing to not know the time of our visitation. I hear people mocking and scoffing, they don't understand the judgment they are heaping upon their heads.
Ezekiel lets us know exactly the year that the Jews would return to the land of Israel and using his calculations you realize it could only have been 1948.
Ezekiel also tells us the day they would return saying "they would walk out of the graves into the land".
However, you have to use the Lord's words in the gospels to know how many years after that day will be the rapture.
Like I said there is no word in the gospels or New Testament saying we can't know the year of the rapture, besides the Lord said no one knows, He didn't say no one will ever know. On the contrary there are verses that would contradict that.
I have shared in great detail on all of this in my blog, if you read the blog you would know the answer to your question of when. If you are not really interested and just want to mock you won't read the blog and so if that is your heart that is your choice.
There are 520,000 people who are interested, that is who the blog is for.
