Food Conglomerates Are Now Going Bankrupt DAILY | 22.1 Million Jobs NOW at Risk
10% of all jobs are in the food industry and they can all easily be replaced by robots and AI. For example, many of these big chains like Red Lobster prepare all the various meals at a central kitchen, put each serving into a bag and freeze it. They already have tested the technology to cook this food with robots to take the orders with AI, to use drive through or online technology to facilitate people paying with credit cards, and to have a fully functioning restaurant without a single person inside. So I would expect this is how they begin to roll it out where the franchises are run autonomously. What is holding back the big money from running restaurants? They have the money, but they don't have the people to supervise a restaurant from 7am to 12 midnight like a McDonalds or Burger King. If they were run by machines and AI they could immediately swoop in and buy up a thousand of them. First they need to bankrupt the ones that exist, buy up the bankruptcy and then "reorganize" with 20% of the workers.
