3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Blessed and Happy are those who God in mercy Draws savingly to Himself. We are told by the Apostle Paul we are blessed with all spiritual blessings, what could possibly go wrong with this???
What goes wrong with this?
The flesh nature, first birth goes wrong with the second birth of God in Spirit and truth for us, found in the risen Jesus, God Father gives us freely, at no cost from us as the world continuously does charge and says it is free, when it is not, from people it is not, yet from God it is
Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We can now enter God's throne of grace, by Son's done work for us on that cross. For Son took away all sin at that cross, reconciled us all to his Father, (2 Cor 5:17-20). (John 1:29) By this done work of Son for us all (1 John 2:1-2)
We, by God can see new by God revealing this to us each personally between God and you, if one will believe God in risen Son for them to be new as said God will carry on for us in Phil 1:6. If I doubt this, even a modicum, then I stop, stagnate me from seeing truth of God's love for me by Son to me. As God continues to carry on God's mercy of Son for me and all others as well, to see and get perplexed in this love and mercy and eventually see it and stand in it. It is done for me, you, and all others too at that cross to now cross over, once anyone finalizes the cross as being forgiven, reconciled by God through Son for them. One sees they are new, by God and are presently born new by God for them in love to them too.
How can anyone refuse once see this truth? How can I only love those that love me back anymore?
God went to that cross without asking anyone if he should or can. He did it for us y'all time to repent in belief to begin to see new in love and mercy too

If it is as you say, why is it that for the majority of history God's word was not made available to the majority of people? Since faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, how was salvation available to all these people?
Because, God still speaks, God speaking, does not end with the Bible, as said by many as if God is dead or not here. God is now here or no where, this depends on the interpretation of where one puts the "W" at the end of the no(W) or the beginning of (W)here
We get Now here or No Where

God is alive and not dead. The dead are only dead in the flesh, might want to reckon self as dead in the flesh to be new in the risen Son for you too in the present (the present from God), and daily die to self, to see new from God for you too

All that can be true and large numbers of people never hear about Jesus. Are you suggesting all those people were saved?

One of the strangest things about calvinists. They love to debate, debating is their version of soul winning it appears. They love to debate people who God decreed would disagree with them.

Its also strange that if you ask calvinists: "Are non-calvinist christians saved?" They usually will reply "Yes!" but hold on a minute, why would God decree incorrect beliefs to the majority of His people??
Sadly seems people are this message board do get persuaded.

Are they a majority? Certainly they have been sent out to infiltrate the churches and so there are elements of this system even in churches that are not "Reformed" is what what you mean?

You’re cherry picking verses to try and say “Look at me. I’m elect. Now I can sit back and bask in my electness.” Why? What good does it do if we’re called elect? Is knowing that gonna help my rebellious daughter of give me insight on finances?

Yes, the words are in there, but they are used in magnifying God’s sovereignty and His majesty, not for the individual to be high and mighty in your thinking.

But, you don’t care. You’re just pushing an agenda to distract from seeking God.
From my web site
Reformed theology at its best not only tells us that our only hope for salvation is in God’s electing grace, but it goes on also to answer the question, And what does God elect us for? In addressing this question Calvinism moves from the passive voice—God doing to us and for us what we could never accomplish on our own—to the active mode, to what it means for elected people to become agents of God’s purposes in the world.

Are you serious or are you letting me know what garbage Calvinism (or whatever weirdness) is? Man, there are some odd ducks on here.

“Hi! My name is ——. I’m elect!” 🙄
Matt 24:24

Dude, did you even read what you wrote? I would challenge to make a sentence without the word elect. When we say we’re “elect” we’re saying I’m better than some. And that is not true. You are under a steep deception. The only thing satan wants to go is distract us and keep us from praying and seeking God. The elect doctrine calls for us to explore ourselves and glory in being accepted to the “club” while others aren’t. By your statements you can’t see it. When I was in Amway I felt the same as you. I couldn’t understand why no one would join “my” business 😏

It looks as if you need to study the biblical teaching as Jesus and the Apostles taught this very teaching.
Making random unbiblical statements about satan is not getting it done. Here is a newsflash...We are speaking about the biblical teaching of election in this thread. Did you even read the thread title?

The first words of you thread are: The Great Blessing of Election… Then you went on to talk about something called Calvinism which from what I can gather is a small group and of individuals who have exalted the idea of Election over the gospel of Jesus. We’re not stupid, we know what the Bible says about election, pre-destination, etc. But Jesus laid out the gospel of the Kingdom to be preached to all nations. You’re not preaching the gospel, you’re preaching another message which is not the gospel of the kingdom, but rather separate doctrine altogether. Keep in mind that satan tempted Jesus with scripture, he just twisted it a little.

Election Was the subject of this thread. the thread is not addressing the Gospel of the Kingdom. Your accusations are quite foolish. I can almost guarantee you do not understand what you think you do.
It sounds as if you know next to nothing about church history. That does not make you a bad person, but you are not in position to enter such a discussion. Study some and get back to us.

You probably right. Why is election so important to you, and what role does it play when praying for someone’s salvation?

We can be free and confident when we pray for sinners as we ask God if those we pray for can be given eyes to see and ears to hear.
Salvation is of the Lord and He will save each and one the father has given to save.We do not know who He has purposed to save, but we know that he saves sinners and every one we meet qualify as sinners. There will not be anyone in Heaven was was not elected/

There is so much contamination in this. It’s so bad. You sound like some ominous high priest. There’s just so much wrong here. I would encourage you in 2 Chron 7:14, if you’re truly called.

Salvation is only between God and that person personally, as each person knows the truth in this, personally. I can only speak for what I see and I see this.
I needed new life and do not deserve to be given it ever. Yet God chose by Son to give it to us the people, through Son's death, burial as proof of death, and then the resurrection for use o get give the resurrected Son in our Spirit, and be born again by God, not self or anyone else
Where you get,
"Are you suggesting all those people were saved"?
that, I have not a clue and am no pone special,
People need life and each person gets to decide between God and themselcves if needed or not. Believe God or not is all the tis left for us the people too do between God and you, me and all others too. God decides who gets in and who will not by their choice to believe God or not

You lack the ability to articulate any objection of substance. You now attempt to appeal to an out of context verse given to OT. Israel, as if it has anything to do with this topic. I will soon be able to use you as an example of what not to do, on my new web site.

Yes we do, but you are simply and knowingly BLIND to the truth. Just one verse -- John 3:17 -- demolishes your false beliefs. Read it over and over again until it sinks it.

As an iconoclast, how is it that you have been unable to smash the idol of TULIP?

2 Chron 7:14 applies to all of us. Lemme guess, you had to go look it up? I could go through your statement but why? You care nothing except defending your “I’m elect” crusade. Just like I defended Amway to everyone I knew. I even justified it, in fact, I could even find scriptures justifying it. There was really nothing wrong with Amway, by my clutching prideful attitude toward it was. I thought I was better than everyone who was working a 9-5. There was a point where the disciples dusted off the dirt of a town as they left, instead of laboring to save it.

The wording is not conditional, but rather descriptive.ie, if so be that,

ylt....9 I am the door, through me if any one may come in, he shall be saved, and he shall come in, and go out, and find pasture.
Dude, why are you in a Christian chat room. You don’t belong on here. Have you looked for a “Calvinist” chat room. There is a forum platform called Delphi forums that has various other religions and non-religious forums such as yours. You should check that out.

Hello Nehimiah6,
There is no reason to smash the biblical teaching summed up by TULIP as it has stood the test of time and been held as the truth of God in all the historically Confessional churches. Because you and a few disgruntled persons, do not understand it, is no reason to turn from it. You do realize they departed from Jesus when He taught the teaching also???

Are you like them N6???
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
