Three anti-denomination threads at the same time. By three different posters. 🥴
1. Denominations are here to stay.
2. Denominations came about because of conflicting doctrines.
3. Most denominations will have a mixture of truth and error.
4. Man-made doctrines seem to prevail in the denominations.
5. In some denominations the true Gospel and Bible truth will still be found. Generally though, the true Gospel is being abandoned for entertainment.
6. There will also be genuine born again believers in almost all denominations (excluding the cults).
7. Non-denominational churches do exist, and if they are properly constituted they will follow the New Testament pattern for local churches.
8. There would be no point in trying to unite the denominations under one umbrella. They are better off to remain as they are and give account to God.
9. The primary responsibility of Christians is service to God and Christ, which includes the propagation of the true Gospel in spite of denominations.
10. Paul was warning against divisions within the local church itself, and that still remains a hazard (no matter what the denomination or non-denomination is).
