Rev. 14:4 KJV
a) "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.
.....c) These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth.
b) These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

The King James Version allows for more of the metaphors, whereas the version used on this site is more literal.

a) Women do not defile men. Men defile themselves by their thoughts and actions. To say that the 144,000 are "not defiled with women" means that they are not defiled by their thoughts and actions concerning women. Thus, they are virgins, being clean in thought and action. This does not mean that they are not married. Since to be married does not defile a man.

b) The 144,000 are redeemed in the tribulation as the first fruits of the harvest. Think of the rapture as the saints leaving the earth for New Jerusalem. The first fruits are not taken to New Jerusalem but are sequestered somewhere on the planet (Rev. 12:6). That is, Verse 14:4 is not talking about the rapture proper, but an event early in the tribulation where the 144,000 are taken.

c) These 144,000 follow the Lamb and are metaphorically called the kings of the earth here in the Book of Revelation. (Rev. 17:14)

From your post so for, I believe your understanding has many errors in it.
I would suggest you join a local church, become a part of its ministry, and seek the teaching of a qualified teacher.

It is true that I have approached the revelation
And your qualifications for teaching are?

Thank you for being civil. I feel like I am surrounded by bees. The interesting thing is that we are at the beginning of the tribulation, and you refuse to learn another interpretation of the Book of Revelation. And that is okay with me. And while there are hundreds of interpretations, I have already provided that mine is unique. I am qualified because I have found the four storylines.

With respect, many people (not all, certainly!) here are qualified to teach, but don't waltz in claiming to be teachers. Very few ask for teachers because of the abundance of teaching material available in other forums. For example, YouTube is an amazing source, though one must use discernment!.

I would suggest that you post your thoughts on a few verses at a time, and allow others to interact. Expect disagreement and even hostility. With Revelation in particular, it's probably better to approach it with "Here is one way to view this part" rather than "here is the way to view this part."

And the Savior said? But let me say this. If I have been commissioned to understand and share the prophecy, then why are you rejecting it? And if you do reject it, then you will have condemned yourselves from the blessing of The Book of Revelation.

That is funny. We all have errors in our understanding of the Savior's doctrines. Are you sinless? Please stop attacking me. I can, with a clear conscience, report to the Savior that you have rejected the report.

You just tipped your hand. Thanks; now I know what kind of person you are.

Rev. 14:5
"And in their mouth was found no guile:
for they are without fault before the throne of God."

And the 144,000 did not deceive others.
They did not trick or manipulate, but they were honest and forthcoming.
And they were cleaned by the blood of Jesus Christ (Rev. 1:5).

Rev. 14:6
"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven,
.....having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth,
and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,"

The previous verses (vv. 14:1-5), are a series in which the 144,000 are at the marriage, and after standing with Christ. Also, Verses 14:1-5 are an aside to the aside of the mark of the beast storyline. In other words, where the mark of the beast storyline (Ch. 12-16) is the parent, and the supporting Chapters Thirteen and Fourteen are the children, then Verses 14:1-5 is one of the grandchildren. There are three second-generation asides, or let's say subordinate asides, in the mark of the beast storyline and they are:
1) The mark of the beast proper (vv. 13:11-18)
2) The 144,000 standing with Christ at the marriage (vv. 14:1-5)
3) The judgment proper (vv. 14:6-13
Thus, the first generation aside in Chapters Thirteen and Fourteen, is Verses 13:1-10, 14:14-20.
For understanding The Book of Revelation, it helps to know the placement of the verses in the storyline structures. With this understanding, we can proceed with Verse 14:6 as it relates to the judgment proper.
Rev. 14:6 links to Rev. 8:13, which is after four trumpets but before three. Therefore, the judgment proper relates to trumpets five, six, and seven. With this, then Verse 14:6 is the beginning of that second set of trumpets (5, 6, 7). Nevertheless, as a subordinate aside in the mark of the beast storyline, Verse 14:6 only relates to Verses 14:7-13.

Yes. I am a servant of Jesus Christ.

You're new to this forum and none of us know you. We can't just automatically believe you are what you say you are. Give it time and we'll get to know you whether you're really a servant of God or not.

🥳

Interestingly, I will bite my tongue for the greater good. The time of the tribulation is upon us, and you need to hear the prophecy. That is, if you want the benefit of The Book of Revelation blessing. And I am trying to be nice about it. But teaching the blind to see is not so easy.

Just to clarify...

You said we should call you Larry, but your profile lists you as female?

It will be important for you to know that some on the forum may not choose to be "taught" by a woman due to their own interpretations of Scripture.

Rev. 14:7
The version used on this site is more literal, whereas the KJV provides for better use of the metaphors.

a) "Saying with a loud voice,
.....b) Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come:
c) and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

a) The angel with the "loud voice" is the angel tasked with showing John the revelation (Rev. 1:1)

b) The judgment referenced in this verse is the harvest of saints 1) (Rev. 14:14-16) from before the time of the winepress (Rev. 14:17-20), and 2) through the 3.5-year judgment (Ch. 15-16).

c) The metaphor "heaven" means the Rev. 14:14-16 saints of the harvest. The metaphor "earth" means the followers of the Rev. 13:11 false prophet who are rejected from the harvest (Rev. 16:2). The metaphor "sea" means the followers of the Rev. 13:1 beast who are rejected from the harvest (Rev. 16:3). And the metaphor "fountains of waters" (Rev. 8:10-11) means the saints who are fallen to the beast and his false prophet who are rejected from the harvest (Rev. 16:4-7).

Since Chapter Fourteen is in the tribulation era, the harvest of saints begins in the tribulation era and continues throughout the judgment era of Chapter Sixteen.

I wondered when someone would catch that, and yes, I am a man. That is so funny.

In other words, the elders are the 144,000 (Rev. 5:6), who were redeemed from the earth during the tribulation (Rev. 7:14). For those who think that a pre-trib rapture exists, that doctrine is not supported in Verse 14:3. Rather, the tribulation begins, and afterwards, during the 3.5-year tribulation, is the rapture of 144,000. But not off the planet, but to a secure location (Rev. 12:6).

This is wrong. Rev 12 is before the trib starts. Th3e rapture is after the trib has ended so your "mid-trib" belief is also very wrong.

The problem is that you are cross-referencing outside The Book of Revelation. The prophecy can not be found that way.

Rev. 14:8
a) "And there followed another angel,
...b) saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
c) that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."

a) Going back just a little.
The angel from Rev. 14:6 in the mark of the beast storyline is the angel from Rev. 8:13 in the trumpets storyline.
And now two verses later in Verse 14:8.
The angel from Rev. 14:8 in the mark of the beast storyline is the angel from Rev. 18:2 in the fall of Babylon storyline.
It follows that the phrase "another angel" in Verse 14:8 refers to changing from the trumpets storyline to the fall of Babylon storyline. That is, when the angel referenced changed from the trumpets storyline (v. 8:13) to the fall of Babylon storyline (v. 18:2), there metaphorically is "another angel."

b) The fall of Babylon in Verse 14:8 precedes the angel announcing in Verse 14:6.
Verse 14:6 is harmonious with Verse 8:13, because both show the angel announcing.
Verse 14:8 is harmonious with Verse 18:2, because both show the fall of Babylon.
Since Verse 14:8 precedes Verse 14:6, then Verse 18:2 precedes Verse 8:13.
Therefore, trumpets one through four in Rev. 8:7-12 are the fall of Babylon in the trumpets storyline.

c) Since Babylon makes all nations drink "the wine," then the wine is money that causes the wrath of her fornication. Therefore, Babylon is the capitalist economic system. It follows that the fall of Babylon is the fall of the capitalist economic system. We can see this today with our national debt at $38 trillion.

One last detail is that the angel in the above verses is the angel of Rev. 1:1 tasked with showing John the revelation.

The blind? Are you calling members of the body of Christ blind?

I saw you don't gather with many believers outside of your bubble regularly. I hope this site can be a blessing to help you grow in the area of being quick to listen and slow to speak.

Thank you for being civil. I feel like I am surrounded by bees.

It is less about being civil and more about understanding our Father has taught each and every one of His children many things and knowing a different perspective isn't that of an annoying bug, but that of one of the Lords servants, children and workers for His kingdom.

Think of yourselves as students in a classroom, with me as the instructor. Call me Larry.

Hi brother larry, call me Ed.

Don't think of me as your teacher, or of this as a classroom but think of me as a brother in Christ who loves the Lord dearly and wants to learn more of Him where ever I am.

The problem is that you are cross-referencing outside The Book of Revelation. The prophecy can not be found that way.

I look at the scriptures book by book but also as a whole given the Holy spirit has shown me many things by using the Word to make sure my current understandings are consistent with the rest of scripture. I bet many here do the same thing.

Your post is too long.

When you lack patience but come with much to say, it is hard for others to listen.

We often not only look for what people (especially those we do not know) say to match with the whole of Gods inspired works, but also to match with His fruits.

If someone comes off in a worldly way, lacking that familar Spirit we know as our comforter and teacher, it can muddy even an accurate message lacking the characteristics given to those our Father calls to teach.

Yes. I am a servant of Jesus Christ.

I hope so. I hope you are also His child.

Thank you, Ed. Everything you said is reasonable. If the conversation were only between you and I, then we are on the same page. But when less logical people enter the conversation, then a certain amount of pushback is also reasonable. I said at the very beginning that I was sharing my interpretation of The Book of Revelation. Not that I was here to learn your version that I have already heard a million times over. And immediately I was attacked by vicious bees because I am not toeing the party line. Where is your humility? Where is your decency when I come into your house? I can see ravenous wolves from Lucifer attacking me. But those of the Saivor's house. Have you no shame? Reasonable conversation is fair game. But the relentless attacks that you have given me are not of the Savior. So please do not pull the bolt out of my eye until you have done the same for yourself. I am not here as a wolf in sheep's clothing, and if you can not discern between the two, then the church and study that I was told to return is not for me but you. So please do not call me to humility until you have done likewise. I am not the sheep being led to slaughter but his servant, as you all should be.

Rev. 14:9
"And the third angel followed them,
.....saying with a loud voice,
If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,"

Again, the KJV is easier for me to work from. In this verse, we see the third in the series of events. First was the fall of Babylon (v. 14:8), second is the announcing angel (v. 14:6), and now the mark of the beast (vv. 14:9-11).
Again, we see the loud voice representing that the angel speaking is the angel of Rev. 1:1 tasked with showing John the revelation. And his message is a warning; do not take the mark of the beast in the forehead or the hand. And the mark of the beast has to do with the economic system instituted by the false prophet, as shown in Rev. 13:11-18.
