Corinthians is what is mentioned, the rest is speculation.
Never said it was the gifts that created the carnal actions. It was their carnal natures which the gifts don't cure.
It's called insinuations.
"You might add that the Corinthian Church, a Church filled with the gifts, even tongues, was also one of the most carnal of the Churches we read of in Scripture. (Just to add some balance lol)."

Have you considered that the questions you just posed could also have been asked by those in the upper room? I'm sure they all spoke the same language and similarly had been doing so for quite some time. Did you notice that God didn't answer those questions before giving them the outpouring w/tongues?
Do liars tell the truth; so do you really think that those who are evil know how to give good gifts to their children?
If they didn't know how to give good things (like food) to their children, their children would have died. Yes, evil people still know how to do good when they are willing. Even liars can tell the truth if they want.
Your right Jesus Christ is and should be the center. Also the Holy Spirit teaches this.
The thing with the balance is, that we humans tend always to fall down of the other side from the horse.
To much law-no law; to much grace- no grace, to much Gifts- no gifts, to much focus of Holy Spirit - no rekognize of the Holy Spirit.

While all gifts are things, not all things are gifts. Since the scripture doesn't reference 'good things but rather "good gifts', then if those who are evil know how to give good gifts to their children, then how do you suppose they got those good gifts to give to their children unless they already had the Holy Spirit?

I find it very telling when one dismiss what the Word of God calls the "gifts of the Holy Spirit" by saying the gifts are not important. The truth is The Holy Spirit is the one involved therefore that makes them All important. Yet we can agree on the misuse of them but to say they are not for today is just not Biblical or true. So those opposed to "the gifts of the Holy Spirit" for today, have to only focus on the abuse by ignorant, immature, and those in error.
Then the athiest that is here hiding as Christians, use human reasoning and secular arguments and terms to discredit the word of God. the terms like Cessationists, modern tongues, and Continuationism. They have to only point out the error of the few on tv, social media, and youtube. These venues used to discredit the gifts of the Holy Spirit do not work. They are all in context to the person misusing the gifts, not the word of God. Those pseudoscientists and want to be prognosticator who use linguist and other sources to discredit the gifts of the Holy Spirit. yet they can not nor do they do with the word of God. They also look to used pagan teaching ( not the word of God) to discredit the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yet Pentecostal doctrine teaches not to even look at such false spiritual things at all.
Yet these types want many to think that those who have Christ as Lord and Savior seeking the Gifts of the Holy Spirit never even knowing about pagan practices, God allows them to get a devil. After which they defend by saying I believe the gifts are real or were real but I have never seen it, therefore it is not real until they have their intellectual pride groomed.
As the church, called the freewoman is considered the segregate mother of us all as she holds out the gospel. Planting the spiritual seed (Christ) and watering it with the doctrines of God that fall like rain , Christ in us causes the growth. In that way the word of God, prophecy forms Christ.
