In the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger Christmas movie Jingle All the Way he is a salesman on the phone ending calls with "You're my number 1 customer" His wife calls, and without missing a beat he ends the call saying "You're my number 1 customer"

Great movie!

Many years ago (Ok, about 50), I was one of the Children's church leaders. It was taken very seriously, so the leaders met to discuss new materials and such. The other leaders were women. I rang one of them and said, "if you have nothing on, I'd like to come over and talk about.............." She replied, "I always have something on. A dress, jeans......."
That wouldn't play so well here in the USA. "If you've nothing on" doesn't mean "If you don't have any plans for that particular day and time" over here. It ONLY means "If you're not wearing any clothes."

Kind of like that old song about domestic violence, "He Didn't Like Her Apartment So He Knocked Her Flat." People in the USA don't get it.

I'll remember that if I ever get to the USA again.
