If you like super hero movies, I saw the Cap movie tonight. It was real good. I am on Caps side btw. You can't choose the govt over your friends. Stark is a two timer.
I am a native NYer transplanted to VT. But one day God will permit me to leave this place. Its so cold in the winter my pastor calls us the chosen frozen. But I don't like football anymore. Go NY Mets.
We are all a different stages aren't we, I think it's dangerous to have an opinion on something like this that is so black and white... I was on antidepressants since i was a teenager.. I have now been off them for 2 years, This is only down to the grace of God and me trusting in and renewing my mind based on his word... We should always be lead by the holy spirit concerning these things... He knows us individuallyBless u xxx
I think relying on God is without question, the number 1 best option. A lot of people do rely on chemical help though. I mean, I don't want to take away from their power, its just... You're putting it in perspective for me. God can change you to meet your needs, just seek him first.![]()
Read my depression thread.. You'll see how I overcame my depression.![]()
I may just give that depression thread a second look. I've been really down lately.
Hi,
To answer your ? what do you really need to know . Types of dose rate are male and female the same in how they react to your body do some people reject them body wise = not work or cause other issues then theres can you mix the meds or will one over power the other , what will work and what wont .
who should take them and for what reason give me a clear idear of what you need to know I can answer in some detail not in all of cause just whats in my 42 years of working with some one and with out = some meds= the person would be dead as ,
Doing a poll is pointless as it does not relate to many people and theres well over 40 meds I can detail I wont as no point that's just a few for depression then related meds to them 1000 or so
Do a poll on 1000 people youll have a better idear and then theres age of the people and that's another can of worms ,
Ask direct ?,s then I,ll have an idear .
...noeleena...
I would tell a Diabetic (type 2) To SERIOUSLY change their diet, and SERIOUSLY start hitting the gym in a big way. Then I would tell them to keep cutting down and purify your body a little bit more every day until you can eventually fast, and cleanse yourself... Reversing your type 2 Diabetes... and yes, Relying on God. I don't know much about insulin use in type 1 Diabetes, but I do know that fasting is a form of self preservation, and God designed us to be able to control our own health. Not NEEDING to rely on those who make a REDICULOUS living off of serving their "treatments" to people at an outrageous and unaffordable price.

I really don't know how to feel about that stuff. Whether or not its useful, or complete poison. What do you guys think?
I had in mind type I diabetes, I see I should have been more clear. My grandmother was type 1, her body didn't produce enough insulin...it was not a condition brought on by poor diet or lack of exercise. However, the underlying point of the diabetes and asthma examples was to hopefully illustrate taking medication for a condition doesn't make you any less faithful or Christian, which is essentially what you imply when you say something like this:
You say this in your original post:
But you definitely have a bias here.
Depression, anxiety, ptsd, bipolar - they are more than just "boo hoo i'm sad/mad/scared"...for many people, medication gives them just enough quality of life to go about their day and function....just like folks who take medication for physical ailments.
I'm not saying by any means that medication is a cure-all...just don't be so quick to make assumptions on a person's relationship with God if they are receiving treatment for mental illness.
Everyones in need of God's healing and restoration, one way or another. When we come to the Lord we come with baggage, each and everyone one of us, but we all cope with and deal with our brokeness differently.
As I walk with the Lord through a voyage of discovery, learning who He is to me and who I am to Him, He addresses me as son and I address Him as father.
We all need to grow into the fullness of the identity He has for us. That's why I take comfort in this pslam, because I am assured He will restore my soul.
Psalm 23 1-3
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.[a]
3 He restores my soul.
