That awkward moment when you hear there are now divorce parties and that attendees celebrate their pain.
That awkward moment when this morning when our study of the book of Judges led to a discussion as to what, if anything, Jephthah was thinking when he made his vow in Chapter 11, Verse 30 & 31 ("30 And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: “If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”NIV)...and a dear sweet old great grandmother in the class (the same elder's wife referenced in another post elsewhere) says, "Maybe he thought it would be his wife and he could get rid of her that way." and I blurt out from the opposite side of the room, through the laughter, "Thank you, (woman's name). I really wanted someone else to be the one to say that." and the laughter doubles, as the class all knows my situation and the woman that I cannot really yet call my ex-wife, but I still wonder if I am out of line.
For what it is worth, and that may be naught, I did try to apologize for that statement, but was told by several that there was no apology to anyone needed.

Of course you're invited! At least you would be at MY movie get together!I have a moderately secret list of people I'd like to meet from CC (only one person knows who's on the list, so maybe it's highly confidential, whatevs) and you're on it, Arwen! You bring a movie and a snack popular in Canada. My living room is a pretty big size, so I think everyone would fit.
Never heard of such a thing... though I did attend a Christian divorce support group for a while.
