I joined CC yesterday as I wanted to post about my husband and his retirement and our life together. I felt very guilty about it as obviously he doesn't know. I have looked at the site for ages (months) and others as well before 'taking the plunge' and joining CC which I felt was the best site for me.

Previously I have briefly joined a couple of non-Christian sites but been very, very upset with some of the replies and the way my husband and I have been 'spoken about' (I don't know the right term for a negative post!:)) But on CC I have found nothing but warmth, love and kindness and God's Grace. It gave me the confidence to speak to my husband last night and I am so, so glad I did so I want to thank you all.

I hope I will be a member for many years and leave many posts and replies too.:)

Thank you for allowing me to join your wonderful site.

By the way, don't forget to take part in other conversations that are going around. There's plenty to talk about in this forum.

There's also the miscellaneous forum.

There's also the singles forum, and yes I know you are married. But the singles forum has evolved over the years into the default chill place for people to hang out and chat. Married and single. (See what had happened was, some of our single people got married and we didn't have the heart to kick them out...) But the experience our married friends bring to a conversation sure helps to put a lot of things in perspective for us single people.

However there are many here who are His Own truly.
The Ignore feature will help protect from them.
Bible Discussion Forum can be turmoil after a few posts.

Thank you, I am just getting to grips with it all and can see there are many forums to delve into. I'll try to check out as many as I can:) and the singles forum (though happily married!)
 
The personal message feature can also be a blessing for sharing with someone without the whole world reading.

I was reffering to @Lynx's post, yeah, singles is the default chill place... but... Im not married, so in view of the rest of the post, is an 'agree' really appropriate? no. I guess this is why we reply to posts lol

Nah. They started a side conversation. That's how threads run here. They can derail at the drop of a hat. Any hat.

shittim doesn't like me too much, because I once committed the unforgivable sin of disagreeing with him about something. So he is advocating for enril to put me on ignore.

It wasn't to, at or about you though. It was just another opportunity shittim seized for a quick jab. :rolleyes:

You get used to it after a while, and after another while you start not even noticing it anymore.
