Some of the dumbest things have been manifested by those who "hear God's voice."

That is not to say, God doers not 'connect' with certain believers at isolated times.
But, it is not a universal experience amongst believers.
You should stop treating it as such.
Ultimately, the Scripture properly taught will prove it to be right, or EVIL.

We all must give account and stand before Him alone for evaluation.

You are absolutely right so many of the craziest things have been spouted from people saying they heard his voice and it is not universal you are correct about that but it should be if we do not know his voice we don't know him for his sheep know his voice

That sometimes seeing God as being the devil?

Yeah I have seen that many times as well people grouping up encouraging each other even if they are in error but thenone thing I cannot understand is how easily something of God can be seen of the devil especially if it cannot be propven to be of the devil. in my thread slain in the spirit with no evidence to support it at all it was instantly seen as from the devil why? because apparently it isn't in scripture yet when I challenged to prove it was from the devil they could not and I saw two sides in that thread mainly the group saying it was from the devil

Now we have voices as an issue God's voice being chalked up to voices in the mind and with what evidence? We have a prophecy but if it is in error it must be propven if not in error it also must be proven or at least have some kind of ground to stand on and I will post some verses that speak on it

Well I would rather just assume that they haven't learned to hear his voice yet but you could very well be right. the thing is we talk so much about scripture yet if one thinks that we are talking about voices in our heads then how could they know his voice via the scriptures if they don't know the inner voice he speaks to us?

The verse is clear...my sheep hear my voice. While my personal experience is that I generally hear His voice in connection to His word, this is not the extent of the hearing I have experienced. I have heard His voice in the words of others as well as His still small voice.

The hearing being spoken of is not audible hearing, but involves not only content but understanding and knowledge.

Hence your key viewpoint in your understanding.... the WORLD.

For the world to be saved requires what everyone else that is saved had to do, repent. For masses to repent at once like Acts chapter 2 means large gatherings. I can see how then you would conclude to revival. Makes sense (y)
 
Yes, I can look at it right now. I know this is false. This thing I got was false. So I know it didn't work this time.

I will give you an example....+

The RCC in the dark ages had men dulled down and became stupid about God.
Satan became the fake news media via the Vatican.

Then there was a revival.
It was called "the Reformation."

Understanding of the Word increased, and noble men were invigorated because of it.

It is about doctrine. Not experience. I have many personal experiences with the Lord. But I CANNOT formulate doctrine based on my experiences.

In my early days, I had someone casting spells on me (which I later found out about), that at the time, I only sensed I was experiencing a supernatural phenomenon.

Seeing some of what power they have allows me to understand why some will refuse to give it up.

This I will say...
If tongues are not for today?
It's disguised witchcraft.

Why don't you find yourself a good teacher for once, and not walk around as a subjective, sensory mystic?
If you say that no excellent teachers really exist?
Then you are also saying that there is no God.
For He wants you to know the Word of God with accuracy and great depth.

God hides the good teachers.
Because?

They are hidden because one must be genuinely led by the Spirit to find them.
Those who only think they are being led, will find a spirit to put a sparkly ring in their nose to lead them astray.
To be finding teachers to confirm what their subjective desires drive them to want to believe.

Paul warned Timothy about what was to come in the future....

For the time will come when they will not put up with sound doctrine. ​
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great ​
number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."​

I already showed you scripture that proves prophets are no longer appointed. How many foundations do you want to lay down in the Church? What can any prophet tell us that has not been said? John took us till the end of the age and even a glimpse into the eternal state. (no more death, sorrow or tears) Further, it is said that prophecy and words of knowledge will gradually be phased out unlike tongues which will cease abruptly. If those two gifts were to end at the return of Christ then they too should end abruptly like tongues but there are two different Greek words used to show the difference in their endings.

Ephesians 2:20
having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

1 Corinthians 13:8
Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.


People believing the written word is not what makes it prophecy so why do you keep making the argument as if people determine what is prophecy or who is a prophet? It is God who appoints prophets and tells them what to say. Jesus relied on and taught others to rely on what is written and he was a bona fide prophet, the one of whom Moses foretold. "It is written" occurs 17 times through the Gospels.

Luke 16:29
Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’


I have been giving you scripture all along as to how we are to learn and walk in faith and how the word cycles up in our thinking when dealing with life's situations. God does not drop pennies of wisdom from heaven onto blank slates. The Spirit takes the things of Christ (He is the Word) and brings them into our reality and because the word is so powerful (from which faith comes Rom.10:17), even the tiniest piece of faith, no bigger than a mustard seed, can move mountains.

Matthew 17:20
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.


It seems to me, there is so much confusion today between God's promise to lead in the paths of righteousness and how that works out in an individuals life and what is a genuine prophet and how they functioned. The former is for God's glory, the latter for the instruction/building of the nation (OT) or Church (NT).

Psalm 23:3
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Eph.4:11-12
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,


All Christians ought to be prophetic as the witness of Christ is the spirit of prophecy but that does not make one a prophet. Anyone with enough understanding of the word ought to see where paths lead because we live in an age of completed scripture, having all God needs to say to us, prophetic trends are recognisable.

Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

I didn't speak of rationalizing, I spoke of being rational. One reasons with the word of God, not blindly hope the information you need will suddenly appear before your eyes.

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Isaiah 41:1
“Listen to me in silence, you coastlands! Let the nations find renewed strength! Let them approach and then speak; let us come together for debate.


We don't build our faith on miracles or spiritual gifts or callings but on the word of God.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Doctrine is not what it is about and neither is experience it is about Jesus no matter the prophecy or doctrine if it doesn't lead one closer to Jesus then it is in vain
