Jesus commanded His churches to teach all things.
He gave pastors and teachers to His churches so they could accomplish this commandment.
He gave the Scripture so those pastors and teachers and all of us could study and understand.
Some on this forum say, even brags that they do not attend a church, have not part in the ministry of a local church and then claims they are pleasing God.
I do not believe God is pleased with that person's decision, and I will say so to their face, and often have.
I know and understand there may be reasons, but most offer excuses.
I also believe that any person that takes on the responsibility of a pastor or teacher should take the time and put forth the effort to know as much of the truth as possible.
BUT, when a pastor of 40 years freely admits he has never studied end time events or any Bible truth, that disappoints me.
I can not see where God is pleased with a person that does not even try to learn and know.
I agree with those who believe that a person not qualified should not teach.
I know some struggle with some subjects. I struggle with all I study, but with much prayer and a desire and the putting forth the time and effort. I can learn and so can others.
Peter speaks of those who are willfully ignorant.
While many choose to be ignorant, I do not.
I freely admit I may not know much, but it is not because I do not try
