What makes one a teacher for God?

God himself, in the lead, and all are seen by the fruit that is produced from anyone whether one is listening or not to God or the self.
Now, if I say to you God told me to tell you!
Then, what is that fruit coming out of that persons mouth?
I have two children, a boy and a girl. I am Dad. my boy made a mistake. I need to have a talk with him!
So, do I go to my boy directly, or do I go to another person and tell them to tell my boy this or that?
Of coarse not, I am Dad and that is my boy, I will go directly to him, will you not do that too?
And do it in Your Dady's, Father's love to them as God has done to you first or not?
Does this mean I cover up my boys mistakes, or do I force him to face it?
Might be best to go to God Father in prayer seeing thankfully Luke 21:14-14, Matthew 10:16-20 To me God always knows best, anyone else?
There is a difference in flesh having mercy and Spirit mercy of God for us all
John 4:23-24

What makes one a teacher for God?

The ability to explain an idea in a way so it's easily understood by different audiences.
This is usually a gift given by God which includes Wisdom, Knowledge, Dedication and Humility.

Christ Himself having Divine wisdom, explains the struggles and joys of life through parables which were understood by His people (Hebrew) and so they're understood eternally by the whole world.
He does this by simplifying concepts and using commonality in words (such as wind, salt, snakes, wolves etc) which are understood by different cultures even 3000 years ago or 10,000 years from now.
These concepts are understood by a child or an old man because they're simplified.

First, it is a gift of grace from the Lord:

"But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
8 Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,

And gave gifts to men."

Furthermore, teaching is one of the doma gifts of rule that comprise the core of God's government:

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers..."

The intent of these endowments of power is to build up the saints so that they may function in their own gift of grace:

"...for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..."

Very often, equipping the saints includes strengthening their ability to give an answer for the hope that is within them. Like Peter wrote about:

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you..."

This is a hope that is compared to light and is often the opposite of the darkness in the world. Indeed, the ways of the world are darkness and in them is no light or hope. As a "city on a hill" we are to be beacons of the only hope in the world: Christ Jesus the Lord.

This was just the tee up.

To understand the gift of teaching we must begin with the WHAT the teacher teaches. The medium of the teacher is the Word of God. Too often people are elevated because they are opinionated or loud, or, like what began in the 60's and 70's, they "preach" political messages that resonate with one particular worldview. Their messages are irrelevant in the Kingdom and to the Lord but such people become popular and wealthy because unregenerated people are given to support what they like vs. what s true.

People have a body, soul, and spirit. Without being changed by Christ, a person's appetite remains fixed in a state called "lost". They will then support things that ultimately benefit themselves. Be it politics, wealth, safety, etc. their choices are predicable. Merely answer the question: "how does the choice before me benefit my current lifestyle?" and their behavior is apparent.

But the Word of God (by this, I mean what has been written (The Bible: Logos) and what God is saying in the day (revelation: rhema), in the hands of a gifted teacher, separates between the mind of the soul and the mind of the spirit:

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

So, a teacher of God, understanding they are accountable to God and not to man, will often say things that are unpopular. They will not teach their own opinions but only what they receive from the Lord. However, they do not seek to be controversial - They know they are ultimately gifted to build up the saints and the Body of Christ.

As an aside, Billy Graham, before his death, stated he regretted his trek into American politics - understanding that his partisanship corrupted the Word of the day. This is the burden of a teacher: to remain true to the Lord one cannot curtail the word they are given to appeal to men.

This is just an outline but it is the general gist of "teaching".

When God tells us to teach our children & disciples, then we are teachers both by word & example.
With the baptism in/of the Spirit, it can be greatly multiplied.:)

Some thoughts:

Jesus began to do and then to teach. Teachers should be doers first.

Jesus spoke as one having authority. This is a giftedness or authority vested in a person from God. It is an experiential and observable phenomenon to others.

Jesus had unparalleled discernment. He certainly was aided by the fact that He was able to discern the hearts of men, but godly teachers hear not only the questions asked of them, but what is actually being asked. Jesus often seemed to answer questions that were not asked because He was actually answering what the original question meant or was answering the question that should have been asked.

I have enjoyed reading your answers. Hope more will join, and those who have posted will follow up.

It is sincere between God and you or not yet, includes =being taught new through any and all mistakes along the way made or might make even again, God does this for us all to appreciate and not hate anymore. not wanting to sin as we all have and do as in Romans 7 tells me at least. God loves us all y'all and remains to do that in you and me and all the world
God has paved the way through Son for us to willingly learn what is best for us, and stop focusing on trying to not do wrong, which ensures one, anyone to continue to do wrong. How you doing, trying not to do? Yeah, I see this conundrum too
Time to trust Daddy, PaPa Father in risen Son first and foremost thank you Father, I am by Son forgiven and remain as forgiven by you, alone thank you.
Now I need to learn new and do new in love and mercy to all, not a few anymore, I trust you will teach me (1 John 2:27) by an automatic response to you in thankfulness not caring if I am homeless anymore or jobless either. The mysterious ways, I accept, thank you as in the last Chapter of Job, that Job went through, not ever denying you ever.

God, continues to love us all, no exceptions, none. The Love and mercy remains, as we do mistakes and get caught up in anger over things we did or others did to us, even things not going as one might think should go and expect to, and do not. Religion is: a desire to do right by God for us, through us. Which I now, see Religion is:
A way to get blessed by God and people in doing what is right in others sight
That makes that person a God, if I ever get God to be pleased by whatt I do or have done and will do. Wouldn't that make me God of God?
Trusting to Farther, thanks to Son Jesus as risen from the dead for me to be as well in humility, not pride or guilt any longer, thank you Father

What makes one a teacher for God?

The only one who can make you a Good Teacher for God ---is God in you ----The indwelling of the Holy Spirit -----who is the only one who can help to Rightly Divide the Word ----The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the only one who can give you the Rhema word behind the Logos Word -----the Holy Spirit is the only one who can give you the true interpretation of the Logos word -----

Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ---you cannot be a good teacher for God as you are teaching from your Corrupt nature and worldly mind set -----and all you can do is read the Logos word and pass on false Doctrine ----and most Ministers today have not the indwelling of the Holy Spirit cause many are believing and Preaching that all they need to do is be a good person and serve their neighbour ---attend Church regularly ---serve in the soup kitchen and God's Love will save them ---

If you do good --you get good ---Preaching the law ---not Grace ----and the Letter of the Law KILLS says the Scripture ---- the Law bring the person to their 2nd death -----but many are Preaching it -----

SO SAD

as far as teaching God's Word:

2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

key = faithful to God's Word.

I also believe the teaching one / taught one relationship is cohesive and both can learn from each other.

Just not seeing God Father is the only one good still
Matthew 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

As not one other than Son can, did and continues in as done for us all to believe he did this, for us to new in this love and mercy given and do that dame to all in response in thankfulness. I now live in te risen Son, not the dead Son. John 19:30, new life comes from being willing to be dead to first birth flesh and blood between God and you only personally. Then made new by new life in the risen Son in his shed blood permeating through you
Romans 6:11, to Romans 7, to Romans 8:1-3
