And in the context of Israel, they would have understood that to mean that God no longer limited his love to his people Israel, but now extended it to whosoever in the whole world that would believe in Christ Jesus, for whom his Son died.
You are incorrectly applying modern-day meaning of the phraseology to its meaning in ancient Israel.

The only way to be objective is to have a standard outside yourself by which to measure your "light."

The Promise of Gal 3:17 is Christ.
The promise of the Spirit in Ac 2:38-39 was given at the Last Supper (Jn 14:1618, 15:26, 16:7).

All those not included in the New Jerusalem, which is the Bride of the Lamb (Rev 21:9-14, 1-2) and the body of Christ, are outside dogs, sorcerers and whoremongers (Rev 22:14-15).
And that's where you have put your believing Israel when you put them outside the Bride of the Lamb.
And there you have it. . .God's plan to glorify himself through Christ by placing all things under his feet
and appointing him to be head of everything for the sake of the church, which is the Bride of the Lamb
and his body, the fullness of him (Eph 1:23) in the two-in-one enfleshment of the marital union
(Eph 5:31-32), plays second fiddle to God's "greatest mercy" in dealing with Israel.
See how the slightest deviation from the word of God invariably and inevitably leads to another gospel?

Those prophecies which you think are prophesying a future return to their land have all been fulfilled in their return from the Babylonian exile.
There are no such further promises to be fulfilled for Israel, nor is their Biblical warrant for a repeated fulfilling of them, anymore than there is Biblical warrant for a repeated sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
Actually, that was exactly what I was addressing.
That phraseology does not mean Christ died for everyone in the world, as explained above.
