I stopped watching football when he players started taking a knee, so I won't watch.
Hubby's team, Baltimore Ravens, didn't make it so he won't watch. He's volunteering to cook at a private club SB party.
A girl I know is a huge Eagles fan. Eagle logo tattoo , committed. She's worn an Eagles jersey in protest all weekend. But I bet she watches.

The name 'bowl' comes from the shape of the stadium football is played in. I want to say the first "bowl" game was the Rose Bowl, but it may have been the Yale Bowl. Now there's a ton of different bowl games including the Super Bowl like Orange Bowl, Gator Bowl, etc. etc.

The only thing worth watching is the commercials. Any favorite(s)?

Personally, I'm partial to the "Snickers Hole," great social commentary there...btw, I'm rooting for Kansas City.

Once upon a time I would eagerly await Super Bowl Sunday. Then I would wait through Super Bowl Sunday. Then I would get online on Commercials Monday and find a website that had all the commercials, and spend a couple hours watching them. Mmmmm, good times... goooood times.

These days I don't even bother. The commercials aren't very funny any more. Maybe they ran out of ideas.

I dont even know who these two teams are. San Francisco... isn't that Joe Montana's team? Kansas City is where Dorothy and Toto are from, right?

I used to love watching it for the commercials, but they stopped being funny about 10 years ago. I used to love football too, back in the 70's 80's and 90's. I was even on my high school football team. It seemed like it was more brutal back then compared to today. Maybe because steroids had not been banned yet.

ok thats odd, I didnt know you called football stadiums bowls!

we un-americans just call them a park or stadium.
Isnt there a Hollywood Bowl?

So what do you call bowling championships? Cos when people talk about bowl games generally they mean bowling.
