I agree. I believe it's enslaving and bad things can come up as a result. I have come to believe that we come under power of things we put trust into and become their subject, it's opposite of the work Jesus did over our lives, freeing us from powers and principalities. Do we really want to have events in our lives subject to and ruled by these powers? Typically when they do readings, tarot or anything. they prognosticate nice things to bait people. I think people potentially also give these things permission to affect their life by accepting to be entertained. So also listening to these people and letting ears be tickled may work as a form of agreement. And the fortune teller typically does guess something amazing the first time. But later bad things may happen and previous good taken away. Husband knew a man whose life was wrecked by trusting in tarot, had nice things happen first, then all he had went down.
 
There are two spiritual communities. One is holy the other is fallen. Witchcraft and such things ie; card reading, palm reading, horoscopes, all of them connect to the fallen community.

Witchcraft sorcerer's and such are material cultures that seek out and receive spiritual goods. The Church is a spiritual community that seeks out and receives material goods.

The fallen angels work in the darkness of souls given over to them. They communicate through the subconscious. Subtle movements of the body that people are not aware of but the fortune teller is made aware of by a fallen spirit who by them gains knowledge.

The powers of the dark arts do not appeal to a the eternal soul they are not concerned for it's good. They appeal to the temporal life exclusively. Worldly want, desire, and need is the scope of their power.

Yes, there is a way to check this by going by the records of arrests in the police department and comparing them with the dates of the new moon.

I have not done that. I am using the words of the police I asked back when I worked on a fishing boat. I noticed that the men were more lawless at the time of the new moon.

Many of the men who worked on boats that I knew were deep in what they called knowing of the spirits. Actually, their beliefs were much like the beliefs of the occult world.

Belief in the signs of the Zodiac and their impact on human beings has been around probably since the tower of Babel.

The Kabbalah (Sefer Yetzirah and the Zohar are Kabbalistic Hebrew texts) does indeed deal with Jewish mysticism, and does discuss the signs of the Zodiac, which are also connected with astrology. Every ancient culture included astrology. However, Christians are forbidden to get involved with astrology or occultism.
