Purim -- A Shadow of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture

Purim is March 3rd, anyone concerned that the rapture may take place in the next two weeks should read this. You can download the Pdf or read the four posts I made: #15,835, 15,836, 15,837, and 15,840

(That said the Pdf has improvements over the posts)

The "Temple" could be erected in two days.

The Third Temple Timeline Just Shortened to Months Not Years

Here are the saints I am standing with

Romans 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

This word "commend" means to stand with. This is the conclusion. Romans is the gospel, it begins with us being saved, it continues with the church being formed, this shows how Jews can be faithful to their covenant with God and become Christian and it shows how God will have mercy on horrible sinners to also build them into the church, and the conclusion is that we stand together according to the will of God. Phebe is only mentioned in this chapter in the New Testament. To mention a sister who is a servant of the church that Paul stands with, that is one of the unique burdens of Romans.

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

In the gospel we learned there are many gifts of the spirit, many functions, and the conclusion is that your ministry should succour many. The word means a woman who is set over others to guard them and assist them with her resources. That is a good description of the church of God. This word is unique to the book of Romans. Every book in the New Testament has words unique to that book and these words reveal the unique burden or agenda of each book. After 16 chapters to become a guardian and protector of many is the unique agenda of Romans.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

This word helper is used three times in this chapter, it means coworker.

4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

The first use of this word for necks is in Matthew 18 where the Lord said that those who offend one child should have a millstone hung around their neck and they be cast into the sea. The Lord was talking about the most heinous sin, and yet here they risk their necks. Satan wants to portray Christians as the most heinous sinners. Remember the vaccine that was "safe and effective" and would give you the "highest protection" against the Covid19 virus? Remember how those who had not been vaccinated were outcasts and seen as putting everyone else at risk. If the vaccine has protected you from the virus why would the unvaccinated put you at risk? And that is the reason, because they would ask questions like that. They would help inoculate you from the mind virus that Satan wants to infect you with. In the same way to stand with Paul involves being accused of being the worst of the worst. Think of how anyone who is absolute in following the Lord is accused of being in a cult.

5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

The chapter begins by mentioning Phebe, a servant of the church, the only place she is mentioned, and then it refers to Epaenetus, the first person saved in that church, also the only place he is mentioned in the New Testament. If we are a healthy, normal church we will have those serving the church and we will have fruit. Paul calls him the "firstfruits" which in the Bible are given to God.

6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

This word "greet" is a very common word. We are told in Matthew when we come into a house to "greet it". In Timothy Paul says that the things he has taught us are so that we would know how to behave in the house of God. At our church we have "greeters", this is according to the word of God. We are told here to greet the saints, and to greet the house. This word can also be translated as "salute". In Matthew they saluted Jesus saying "Hail to the King of the Jews". We are also to greet Jesus, our King. In Acts Paul salutes the church. In another place this word is translated "embraced" and it is used when people part and say goodbye. This word is used 16 times in this chapter, far more than any other chapter in the Bible. Paul is demonstrating how to behave in the church of God.

7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Wow! The use of among indicates that these two were with the apostles before Paul was saved. They were with the early church, probably in Jerusalem, before the gospel went to the Gentiles and before Paul began raising up churches. So when Paul is going around terrorizing the churches, two of his kinsmen were in the church with the apostles. It is very likely they prayed for Paul. This word "of note" means "notable". In other words the apostles John and James and Peter probably knew these two. They are also Paul's fellow prisoners. In the world the people who are "of note" are given an award, a plaque, or a trophy at an award banquet. In the church those who are of note are those who are fellow prisoners of the apostolic ministry. This is what the Lord says in Matthew that we should rejoice when we are persecuted for speaking the word of God because this means we are now "of note" among the prophets.

8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

About 31 of the names in this chapter are only mentioned here. This is the way the church is, most of us labor in obscurity, we have very few who are Paul, or Peter or Timothy. Those ones are targets. Satan is not omniscient, only God is. This is very helpful to be one of the 31 in obscurity rather than the two or three that are targets.

9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. 10 Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household. 11 Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord. 12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord. 13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. 14 Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them. 15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

Imagine we are all raptured to the heavens at the big wedding banquet and the Lord begins to say this. It is the equivalent of "well done, thou good and faithful servant". Imagine being someone that no one knows, no one has ever heard of and yet the Lord knows you and appreciates your service.

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

This chapter is "not the world", it is not "the antichrist kingdom". That kingdom is controlled by fear and they keep everyone in the dark about what everyone else is doing. In the Kingdom of the heavens we serve according to love and we walk in the light.

Mark those who cause division

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

On social media and cyber space it is very simple to see many who are causing division. You are to first mark them. Post a verse like Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmuring or disputing. And then avoid those who want to murmur or dispute. Instead I see these people who every single day are murmuring and complaining and then these others who every single day are disputing with them. Avoid them, they are trying to cause division and offences contrary to the doctrine that we are to love one another.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Some people serve the Lord, like Phebe. Some guard, protect and support the saints. Others are helpers of the ministry of the word of God. Some are beloved, some are newly saved. Some are bestowing much labor, others are of note among the apostles. These are the ones you want to attach yourself to. If you realize someone is not serving the Lord Jesus Christ but rather their own belly, mark them and avoid them. If you realize someone is trying to deceive the hearts of the simple, mark them and avoid them.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

This word translated simple is used three times in the New Testament, twice it is translated as "harmless". Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Here it is translated as simple. It doesn't mean ignorant or naive. It means unmixed, pure, without guile, without deceit. To be wise as a serpent means we are not ignorant of his devices. We understand how he hunts. I spent two weeks in Nevada mapping geologic structures. There were rattlesnakes in the area that we would come upon. We had high top boots on as protection if the snake were to strike. However, just because we know how they act does not mean we should imitate them. To be harmless as doves means we do not imitate the serpents. We are not naive, we are not ignorant, but we are also not influenced to become like them.

20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

The Benediction

Romans 16:21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you. 22 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

This is the only place where Tertius is mentioned but it highlights how those who print and publish the ministry are also coworkers of Paul.

23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother. 24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Paul was staying in hospitality, a saints home. This is very typical among Christians and the church. I used to be in a church where we visited other churches frequently and we always took hospitality.

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Pray that you are established

1. according to Paul's gospel in Romans,
2. according to the preaching of Jesus Christ,
3. according to the revelation of the mystery in the word of God, and
4. according to the commandment of God.

This word for stablish means steadfastly set. You need all four. The errors are when someone is not established according to one of these four criteria. Some teach you are saved by grace + something else. Wrong. Some think it is better not to mention Jesus Christ by name as it causes trouble. Wrong. Some are not clear concerning the revelation of the mystery that was made manifest by Paul's ministry that it is Christ in us, the hope of glory. This leaves them in Romans 7, wrong. Others are wishy washy about the commandments of God, like mark those who cause division and avoid them, wrong.

Index of Bible References volumes 1-5

I would have done this for all of them but ran out of time. However, it does help those who are interested in a particular verse to find the verse and what is said about it. One reason I did this was so I could look for verses that had not been referenced.

Who is the Great Babylon

This Pdf goes through every verse in the New Testament and many in the Old referring to Babylon. I see which of the various interpretations fit. The main three are: Israel, Vatican and the US, though I also see if England fits any. I used to subscribe to the teaching of Darby and Watchman Nee on this, however, everyone should know that when they taught the US was not a superpower, Hollywood and Multinational corporations did not exist (true for Darby, Watchman Nee was around at the time of silent movies). The pandemic had not taken place and the apostasy in the US had not taken place. You could not compare the US to Sodom and Gomorrah at the time of Darby or Watchman Nee.

Prophetic Dreams & Visions from My Lovely Jesus2 days ago
You’ve Been Caught Unaware Journal Entry 4-9-20 @5:19 AM Part 2 “Think of it like this Child, this pandemic, this C+10+9 virus that is spreading across your world, although unseen by the naked eye it is spreading from person to person infecting many and causing death for some. Such is the way of sin! Though it infects you physically, it infects you spiritually and sin is more deadly and more rampant than any disease, known or unknown shall ever be. Because not only has it brought death and destruction to millions, again I say by the billions, it will also destroy your soul and send you into eternal damnation into the pits of hell and then the lake of fire. Then your woes shall be unending everlasting torment that will never end. O’ taste and see that My love is good, is pure and is free to all men equally, for I, Jesus came to save all and that you may live life more abundantly. Those who accept Me within their hearts shall find as you have Child, that even during the most difficult of times and hardship that I am the joy, the peace, the hope that they need to sustain them. You will need these things Child and you will need to draw them from Me through My strength and not your own for what is coming upon your world. War is almost upon you and although the alarm has been sounded, few have chosen to listen. They are unprepared spiritually and even physically for I have been warning My people, all the people these last few months of your time to prepare.” “Did not I warn Noah to prepare in advance that I would soon flood the world with water? He listened and he and his ‘immediate’ family were saved! He, his wife, their sons and their wives, eight souls to be exact, yet all were warned and the people laughed and scoffed at his warnings from My Father God. Including his one time friends and his other blood relatives such as his aunts, uncles and cousins. ‘Foolish Noah,’ they said until the water began to rise from the earth as the rains descended. O’ foolish world, foolish virgins the time is almost upon you and you have been caught unaware and unprepared once again refusing to heed the gentle tugging in your hearts that truth is being told. And those in your country Child, because you live in the land once known as ‘the land of plenty,’ are saying, ‘it shall never happen here!’ Watch and watch closely for it has already begun. This pandemic being just the start, the beginning of all that is soon to take place upon you and your world. O’ foolish people when you’re out in the oceans of life and drowning, then you remember, ‘If I had only put on my life preserver, my life jacket as I was warned to, then I would not find myself in this position. I might find myself still within the waters of the deep but I would be floating and not drowning, going under, taking in water within my lungs and gasping for breath.’ I am telling My people, all the people now once again and it is time to take heed and notice the signs fast approaching.” “I say again, ‘War is coming and it’s coming fast!’ But this is just the beginning of many woes upon your nation, your world, for war is almost immediately followed by famine for upon the arrival of these invading forces in the waters of the deep near your country’s ports in that of California and of New York you will know that this is the start, the day that famine is declared by Me to truly start within your country. Yes, even spreading throughout your world like a chain reaction spreading from one country to another affecting the young, the old, the rich and poor for no one shall be exempt. But those who are Mine, who truly love Me and trust Me, I shall meet their need and that is what I am partially doing now, meeting their need in advance by telling My people and all who will listen to prepare and prepare now. Yes, if you still choose not to prepare and you trust Me, I shall still supply your need but you will endure much more added hardships upon yourselves and those you love than if you had tried to prepare. It was through My warning to Pharaoh in a dream in which I revealed the interpretation to Joseph that famine was coming, that he, Joseph was moved into a position of power where the people were able to prepare and prepare they did. When the promised foretold famine came they were prepared. My people were cared for, as well as the others, the heathen who believed in their false gods but because they heeded My voice, My instructions and aided in the preparations, they prepared themselves, they also partook in the provisions stored up in advance.” “Listen to Me, O” foolish people, those who profess their love for Me. I am sending you warning and all other people as well once again that war is coming. Prepare for it and do it now but start with your hearts and when those are truly right before Me, then you will be able to hear and understand more fully what My Holy Spirit has been trying to tell you and lead you to do. That is prepare. Prepare for war and famine for if Father God delays My coming, then it has been told to you already there is 3 years of confirmed war with the rest remaining a mystery. Your country, your world is not prepared for this and upon My returning when I return into Heaven with My beloved bride, My true church in spotless white your world shall enter the period known as the great tribulation, the time of judgement. Then woe, woe I say again to all the inhabitants who are left to endure My Father’s wrath and My own for surely this world has never seen in your history, this time that is to befall your world! Get ready and get ready now for all these things have been set into motion. There are no more delays. No more periods of grace. All is set. It has begun. Pray, children pray, pray for your lost, all the lost. For many are still yet to perish not only from this virus, but through war and great famine and many, many are still lost. Reach them Child, reach them while you still can for this is the true purpose of man to lead one another to Me, to redemption from their sins for to spend their eternity with Me, for I, I love them all.”

Solomon's Song

Song of Songs 1:1 The song of songs, which is Solomon's.

The Bible is our covenant and it has 66 books. This is the 22nd book, Acts is the 44th book and Revelation is the 66th book. These books talk about the completion of what God is building, which is a bride for Jesus Christ. Therefore I want to look at this book from that view. I want to relate this book to Acts and to Revelation and to the Bride (which Paul describes in Ephesians) and to the rapture. This book shows us the love story between God and man, and Acts is written to the lovers of God, to Theophilus. The Revelation of Jesus Christ in the book of Revelations is the revelation of the triumphant king with His bride. The king in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

This is the best revelation. God loves us, He loves us so much He gave His son to die on the cross to save us. I think we all want to know why, because God is omniscient. At the very beginning of the church age we have the feast of new wine, Pentecost, where the Spirit was poured out. When the Spirit was poured out it caused the believers to speak the great things of God in every language on earth. That is a great experience, but the Lord's love for us is even better than that.

3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

When the Good Samaritan saved the man who had been beaten by the wayside He poured in oil and wine. When we were saved from sin and death it wasn't simply the spirit being poured out on us as we praised the Lord that we remember, it was also the loving care that others showed for us in treating our wounds. We are sinners saved by grace, that is our testimony. Just like Jesus said, those who have been forgiven of much love much.

4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

The word of God is "His chambers". This is one thing that distinguishes those who are lovers of God from everyone else on this earth. We have been drawn into the "word of God". For us we have discovered treasures in this word. It is full of joy, and rejoicing. The word strengthens our faith, it gives us hope and it fills us with love. The world is a foul, confused mess. But the word of God is truth and it gives us a peace that passes understanding. The word of God lights our path so that we can walk the narrow way of righteousness. It strengthens us to walk upright in a dark age full of temptations, liars, cheats, thieves and murderers.

We were horses in Pharaoh's chariots

Song of Song's 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

We are the black sheep of the family. We are the descendants of slaves. We know what it is like to be judged by our appearance rather than by the truth. Because of that we don't trust the officials and "experts" to tell us that Jesus was a sinner. Jesus' visage was marred, but we were able to look below the surface. We were able to see beauty in that very ugly day. We were able to see God working all things together for good to those that love Him.

6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

Our love for the word is the first thing that distinguishes the bride. The second thing is that the whole world is self centered, but the saints care about the Lord's flock rather than their own. The whole world boasts of the things they have and the things they have accomplished. They pat each other on the back. But no one cares for the things of the Lord, except for His bride.

7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?

They are a praying people. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. They have learned to pray rather than to quit. Christianity is full of those who quit, those who turned aside to the flocks of companions to the true God. They would rather watch a super hero movie than know the real super hero. Those who will be raptured all have a personal relationship with the Lord.

8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.

None of us is complete in ourselves, none of us has all the answers. This is why the conclusion of the gospel in the book of Romans is Paul giving us a long list of the brothers and sisters standing with him and who he stands with. We have biographies of holy men of God, we have been given pastors and wonderful brothers and sisters that we can fellowship with. The bride is not the biggest, fastest, strongest or mightiest of people. But they have learned one thing, to trust one another. They have learned this is a corporate warfare, they need one another and they support one another.

9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.

We were redeemed from Satan's kingdom. We were pulling Pharaoh's chariots, but we were saved, we were converted, our eyes were opened and now we are in the Kingdom of light, praying for the Lord's will to be done and for His kingdom to come. Now we are in the king's army. Our salvation is not simply that we are forgiven for our sins, even more it is that we can follow Jesus conquering and riding in victory over all the earth.

A life of experiencing the glory of God's word being wrought in you

Song of Songs 1:10 Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.

To be a Christian is a dream come true for both a twelve year old boy and a twelve year old girl. A word spoken in season is like a precious jewel set in gold. But we have rows of jewels and chains of gold. This is a life of experiencing the glory of speaking God's word.

11 We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.

The word of God is fine gold and it is our border. We dwell within these chambers of the word of God, within the borders that the word of God gives us. This word "studs" is unique to the Song of Songs and reveals the unique burden of this book. The word means a point or a drop. We dwell in the Lord Jesus, the incarnated word of God. That dwelling has a border, the word of God, but it comes with drops of silver. God's word draws a line, you can go this far and no further, hence it is a border. But it comes with drops of silver, referring to redemption and salvation. When we come in contact with those outside of the word of God, outside of Jesus Christ and we interact with them they will get saved. Maybe it was one tiny word you spoke, one drop, but these become drops of silver.

12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.

Spikenard is another word unique to the book of Song of Songs. However we are reminded of the woman who poured out her alabaster box on Jesus' feet while He sat at his table. She anointed Him for the burial beforehand. Judas was outraged at what she had done. The self righteous, pompous and hypocritical religious leaders will be offended by this. They will claim this was a "waste" but Jesus said it was a good work.

13 A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.

Myrrh is one of the spices in the holy anointing oil. Myrrh signifies the suffering and purification aspects of the cross of Christ. Esther was purified with Myrrh for six months. For this to lie all night betwixt my breasts indicates the fellowship of Christ's sufferings. Everyone wants to experience the oustanding resurrection, but before you can you need to have the fellowship of Christ's sufferings. The sweet smell of Spikenard is the sweet smell of someone who has given all to the Lord. The fellowship of Christ's sufferings is a comfort to those who have given all and it helps purify us from our worldly desires.

14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.

This word "camphire" is hard to translate. Could refer to a ransom, or a bribe. In other words the price of a life, the price that Jesus paid for us. But this is the same word used for "pitch" where Noah was instructed to pitch the ark within and without. Interestingly, if you want to keep the ark from leaking water you would pitch it without, but you wouldn't need to pitch it within. However, if you wanted to preserve the ark from rotting away and remaining for six thousand years as a testimony, then you would pitch it within and without. Engedi refers to the strongholds that David dwelt in when Saul was pursuing him. This is who the real Christians are, they are with Jesus while He is being pursued by those wishing to exterminate Him.

Dove's eyes

15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

In the west people appreciate "doe's eyes", tender and innocent. The Chinese appreciate "big eyes". In the movie Shrek, Puss in Boots is famous for his "big eyes". But big eyes are just the flesh and since the fall of man no one is innocent, so doe's eyes are a deceit. Nancy Reagan was famous for her "doe's eyes" and no one would describe her as "tender and innocent". A dove signifies peace, but it also signifies life. We take birds into mines because they will let us know if the conditions are safe and they will be the first to die if the conditions are not conducive to life. So then a dove sitting in a room calmly indicates the situation is full of life and peace. But, what do the eyes signify? Eyes reveal where the mind is. A teacher will know that a student's mind is wandering by their eyes wandering. Japanese jewelers watch the eyes, if a customers eyes dilate it means they are interested. FBI interrogators also watch the eyes, it can tell them if someone is recounting from memory or making up a story. The eyes tell you where the mind is. According to Romans the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. That is what Doe's eyes are, they are set on the spirit because the mind is, and that is why you have life and peace.

One hymn we sing says:

In the deep dark night, His beauty
I by faith, not sight, may trace;
He was ridiculed and hated,
Yet I see His glorious face.

First and foremost, if you are looking for a bride or a groom you should be looking for someone with dove's eyes. The world looks for fleshly beauty and that is a deceit. Later in this book the man tells the woman "turn your eyes away for they have overcome me" (Song of Songs 6:5). Eyes that can be set on the spirit are the secret weapon for a woman. In World War II radar was the secret weapon that won the Battle of Britain. We could see their planes coming. In the Gulf War stealth fighters were the secret weapon. Iraq couldn't see our planes coming. In the Thriller in Manila Ali's strategy was to close Frazier's eyes. If you can't see you can't fight.

In Arabic there is a saying "I broke his eye". This indicates your opponent has the blank stare of eyes hollow with fear. To vanquish an opponent you need to "break his eye".

If you marry a spouse based on physical attractiveness you will not have vanquished your opponent. The woman won't trust her husband and will be jealous and likewise the husband will not trust his wife. Love and war are similar, you should not get married until you have vanquished your opponent and that will not happen until you "break his eye". Therefore you need the secret weapon, "Dove's eyes".

Building a powerful testimony of the gospel

Song of Songs 1:16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.

Single people are foolish. They try to impress their date with cars and houses and fancy restaurants. If you do that what kind of bride are you going to catch? One that has to spend thousands on her wardrobe and shoes and bag? One that is only interested in how much money you have? There are two different places you can go for "rest and relaxation". Disney world or the Adirondack mountains. In one you will spend ten thousand dollars for a week of standing in line and eating junk food. While there you will see the very worst expressions of the sinful man. The other place will be essentially free. No entrance fee, no parking fee, and no junk food. Here you will see people of the highest character and you will be surrounded by the beauty of God's creation which can restore you to life and peace. What do you worship? The creator or money? The beauty of this approach is you will eliminate all those women who are parasites. The minute they see you having a picnic by the river they will flee. Their high heel shoes and slinky outfits make them look ridiculous in that setting.

17 The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.

Beams of cedar signify both strength and fragrance. In a modern world of plastic or compressed particle board, it is so nice that this house is built of real wood. In the Bible wood signifies humanity. Cedars and firs dwell in the mountains. The husband and wife are those whose minds are on the spirit and who dwell with Christ in resurrection on the mountain tops. This is what the church should be. A family that is like this, the love is fragrant, the house is strong, their eyes are single and they trust one another, that is a powerful testimony of the gospel.

We are changed into the same image

2:1 I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.

Is this referring to Jesus or to the church? Christ and the church is seen in the story of Adam and Eve. A rib was taken from the side of Adam and from that God built Eve. We then hear Adam exclaim “bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh”. Eve is an expression of Adam. We are also told in the New Testament that it is “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. The fact is that the church is supposed to express Jesus. This is what we see here. In the previous chapter we saw that Jesus rescued us like the Good Samaritan, pouring oil and wine into our wounds and taking us to the Inn to recuperate. He then said to “go and do likewise”. We were a flower, innocent, in the valley, when we got trampled and beaten by sin. We were simply a wild flower in the field, like the rose of Sharon, but we were left bloodied and beaten. The Lord Jesus rescued us, not one of the high and mighty priests or Levites coming from Jerusalem at the top of the mountain, but rather in the form of a despised Samaritan. After all, who was the man beaten and left for dead that the Good Samaritan rescued, we like to think that is us, but doesn’t that also describe what happened to Him when He was crucified? In the previous chapter we see the reason that the Lord loves us is because we have been drawn into the word of God and love the word. The upright love thee, lilies are pure white signifying the white robes that signify the righteousnesses of the saints. We are lilies among thorns, the thorns signify sinners. We saw in the previous chapter that we are on the path that leads to life, the narrow way of righteousness, and our way is being lit by the word of God. In this chapter we learn that the Lord has promised to clothe us better than the wild flowers of the field which are thrown into the fire. In the last chapter we were likened to horses in Pharaoh’s chariots. We were slaves of sin pulling the wagons of this dark age to make it work. Here we are likened to something humble compared to those horses, and yet something that is beautiful that is expressing the glory of God the creator. In the previous chapter we had the fragrance of spikenard, signifying that we were pouring out everything we had, we were a burnt offering to the Lord. In this chapter we have the fragrance of the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley, signifying the sweet smell of the resurrection life. In the previous chapter we were purified by sleeping with myrrh all night and in this chapter we are now clothed with a lily that is pure white. In the previous chapter Jesus was a cluster of camphire to us, like the pitch that Noah’s ark was pitched with. Now we are pitched with the blood of Jesus so that we are the rose of Sharon. In the previous chapter we had dove’s eyes, indicating our mind was set on the Spirit. Now we are full of life, like flowers in springtime. In the previous chapter we saw that our rest and relaxation were in the creation, not in the things of this world. Now we have become those who are not anxious for anything, just as the Lord said. God clothes the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is thrown in the fire, and if that is the case God will clothe you as the flowers of the field which are clothed in more glorious apparel than anything you can buy on 5th Avenue.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

From Purim in 2026 (March 2nd/3rd) to the Feast of Trumpets in 2029 is 1,290 days.

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

This is mind blowing! We have always interpreted "the daily sacrifice being taken away" to the Jews. But why would we do that? Since Jesus has been sacrificed is God really going to consider the daily sacrifice of sheep and goats? Could this term "taken away" refer to the rapture and that the raptured saints were the ones who were making a daily sacrifice?

The Banqueting house

3 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

This is now the third tree mentioned. The house was made with real wood, with Fir and Cedars. These are excellent forms of lumber for construction. But Jesus is not likened to those trees, He is likened to an apple tree. An apple tree is not a magnificent tree like a cedar. Redwoods are in the same family as the cedar tree, incredible, magnificent trees. An apple tree is a much smaller tree, easy for you to grab a low hanging apple. This is the proper way for the Christian life to begin, not as some magnificent, awe inspiring tree, but as a lowly apple tree that is full of fruit. A nice place to sit under the shadow of the tree and a place just bursting with fruit that is sweet to the taste. Apple trees are not used for lumber and are rarely used for furniture, and yet there are an estimated 170 million apple trees in the US. This shows you they have a job, they have a function and that is to grow apples.

4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

The church is a banqueting house. Everyone should be bringing their testimonies each week like a love feast.

1Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

This word for “banner” is used 14 times in the Old Testament. 13 times in the book of Numbers. Each tribe had a banner or standard that they flew. The last time this is used is right here, it is the last word on the subject. We have banners that we hang in sports stadiums indicating championships. This is not that word. That word is in Song of Songs 5:10 and it is translated as “chiefest”. It is in 6:4 and also verse 10 where it says “terrible as an army with banners”. This word is similar to the logo of a company. McDonald’s has the golden arches, Christians have the banner over them that is the Lord’s love.

5 Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.

This word “sick” is translated as “besought” in Exodus where it says that Moses Besought the Lord. In the New Testament the feast of New Wine was Pentecost when the Spirit was poured out, signifying the new wine. The response was everyone heard the saints declaring the wonderful works of God in their own language. This is a testimony. Meanwhile apples would refer to something that grew on Jesus, the incarnated word of God. Perhaps a revelation you got. A praise report from an answered prayer would be a flagon, while light you received on a verse in the Bible would be an apple. Every testimony you hear would simply make your love for the Lord richer and be overwhelming.
