That's like saying it's "a lie" to be in favor of abortion only in cases of ectopic pregnancies. No, many people are pro-life, but with the exception of ectopic/tubular pregnancies because it poses a great risk to the mother and the unborn child is not 100% viable (though there have been miracles of ectopic pregnancies coming to fruition).

You can support someone in choosing to die with dignity from a terminal and painful condition, but not be in favor of it when someone is simply "depressed". Depression isn't a terminal condition.
There are people who claim to be pro-life, but they support abortion in the event of rape. That isn’t any different than saying a 2-year-old should be killed because his father was a rapist. The logic here is inconsistent.

actually depression is a terminal condition you guys just dont get it.

More people die by suicide stemming from depression than anything else. those who suffered from manic depression (as I did) had no way to 'manage' the moods even with medication because if the medication ran out the doctors would keep asking you if you wanted to kill yourself!

uh...

The good news is that Jesus gives us life and life in abundance. And he is able for us to overcome in THIS life too. Hallelujah.

I was recently deeply wounded by someone I trusted. I got depressed for the first time in years. I even considered ending it.
The winds blew...the rain poured...the lightning flashed...on Christ the solid rock I stand...all other ground is sinking sand. Hallelujah!

Anchorage is the Suicide capital of the world. Suicide rates are always higher in cities than in rural areas. Suicide rates are highest in the summer than in the winter. The one thing these three things all have in common is sleep.

Anchorage is the city that is furthest north, during the summer there is almost no night and it can be very disorienting, easy to be unable to sleep. Often cities are very noisy. You may think you were getting a full night sleep but noises may have knocked you out of REM sleep.

Suicide rates have shown a marked increase since the internet, video games, and all the stuff that can keep people up 24 hours a day. Once again, if you look at all the different charts on suicide they all are connected to sleep. To be healthy we need to eat right, get exercise, and sleep. Of those sleep appears to be the most despised with catastrophic consequences.

Terminal condition- a patient cannot recover, and in which (1) The patient's death is imminent.

Are you saying someone with depression can not recover and it is only a matter of time until they give into it by physically dying?

no I am saying suicide is like a terminal condition. You cannot recover from suicide as once you kill yourself, you are dead.

I mean isnt it obvious.

People that have depression often entertain suicidal thoughts, if not coming from themselves it is from Satans influence and/or people around them.

sleep is very important yes.

if cant sleep at night you have to get some nap time during the day,

Sleeping pills are very dangerous medications to use and can be abused, but they can help in certain circumstances although you do not get a proper sleep/rest on them.

I wouldnt say to blame things on internet or video games. I would say underlying stress and disturbances underpin not being able to sleep. If you were traumatised or disturbed from sleep once this can have knock on effects for your wellbeing.

One thing mothers should never do is disturb a sleeping baby, but its quite common.

Well the good thing about this pod is that there is no privacy involved. By the time it is towed to your choice location, all the neighbours and everyone will know your business. Im hoping that there would be such an outpouring of love and support that the would be suicider will change their mind.

When you are going through a rough time and you dont have that support, I think the most hurtful part is the feeling that no one cares.
