Romans 16:17-18: "I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. Such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

**What causes division amongst the Christians? Why is Christianity divisive? Why are Christians so bitterly divided against each other?
If you read Jesus' message, this is very clear.
“Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, I have come instead to bring division. From now on, a household of five will be divided—three against two and two against three. Father will square off against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” (Luke 12:51–53)
-Jesus knew that there would be great contention between believers and non-believers, and even within
the congregation, he taught that there would be division.
-But there were false prophets, too, in those days, just as there will be false teachers among you.
They will cleverly tell their lies about God, turning against even their Master who bought them;
but theirs will be a swift and terrible end. (2 Peter 2:1)

Jesus is warning his followers that following Him will not be easy and that it may lead to conflicts even within single families.
When carried away with an array of Scripture, "opinions" Christian
Communities become infested with troublesome division and separation.
Perhaps this is the reason for a "chosen few".
**The term "Tempter" is primarily used to describe Satan, the adversary of God and humanity, who seeks to lead people into sin and away from God's will. The concept of the Tempter is rooted in the biblical narrative, where Satan is depicted as a cunning and deceitful being, intent on undermining God's creation and purposes.
Characteristics of the Tempter:
Deceptive: The Tempter is known for his cunning and deceitful nature, often twisting God's words and intentions to lead people into sin. This is evident in the way he manipulates Scripture during the temptation of Jesus.
Accuser: In addition to being a tempter, Satan is also referred to as the "accuser of our brothers" (Revelation 12:10), constantly seeking to bring charges against believers before God.
Adversary:The Tempter is the ultimate adversary of God and His people, working tirelessly to oppose God's plans and purposes. This adversarial role is seen throughout Scripture, from the fall of man to the end times.

**-Salvation is considered impossible for an individual who remains in a condition of spiritual estrangement or alienation from God. This concept is central to Christian theology, emphasizing the necessity of divine grace for redemption and eternal life.
-Salvation is considered impossible through human efforts, such as good works or self-righteousness, because a person is naturally unable to save themselves. It is also considered impossible if one is "beyond saving" through a complete and final rejection of God, which is seen as a refusal of the gift of repentance and faith offered by the Holy Spirit. According to some interpretations, a person can lose their salvation by falling away from their faith, though other views hold that salvation is permanent.
-Salvation involves acknowledging one's sins and a transformation that brings about a new spiritual life.

-The worldly nature of man has and is constantly continuing to distort scripture.
Now at the level of "word of man" obliterating the consensus that of "God breathed"
'When subtle warnings are ignored, so be the "inspired" teachings
Of Jesus Christ...ignored, and the consequences have been told of.
'But then in today's Christian atmosphere, many have invented their own
worldly ways over that of God's wisdom. Trusting in God's way will not be the
same as one's worldliness. Disobedience is away from God's will to be done.
'Disobedience is seen as an act of rebellion, sin, and a rejection of God's commands and guidance.
