I live in the DEEP south ,@SouthernMagnolia can probably verify what I'm about to day.

I love short,ultra short younger peoples hair cuts. I'm 64 but I'm NOT an old lady...lol

I have had buzzcuts to shaved head for about 10 yrs. I've stated in other threads why I hate long hair for myself ....somewhat.

My daughter who is 42 had asked if I'd let it grow some........most people HERE think I'm cancerous!

Anyways Fri she told me to cut my hair anyway I like...life is too short she said knowing how miserable I was.💜💜💜💜

I did a long on top,3/8 in sides and back. FREEEEEDOM

I'm now bleaching it to color silver.

Here's what Magnolia will agree with.
People down here THINK that ALL women should have looooong hair.


If I lived abroad it would be business as usual at any age.

Yeah longer hair is the thang in these here parts 😂 but I like short hair too. I actually had the short stack most of the time in my 20’s and loved it.
