Howdy Tasha, and welcome to the free-for-all sharing that is the Streams thread. This is the thread where being off topic is the topic. :)

In local news, I am planning to go to east TN tomorrow to visit mom for a few days. So of COURSE the oil pressure switch on my vehicle goes out. Fortunately I know a good, reliable, honest mechanic and fortunately I usually give him plenty of time to work, so when I told him it was an emergency he took me seriously and did emergency surgery. Unfortunately I needed that money for gas. Had to borrow money from a relative for the trip, and I hate borrowing.

Ah well. At least it happened here where I know a mechanic I can trust instead of breaking down somewhere along the road between here and mom's.

Please pray my mom is at emergency with a watery lump on her chest I can't do this again I don't think it's a tumor but it's really weird

Just read an article about a man who built a lego room in his home. He is an architect and as a kid legos played a major role in his career. He decided to build a room in his first home around his passion. He has 500K to 750K lego pieces! :eek:


Interesting...I wonder what a knitting room would look like...hmmmm
 
I remember something my father used to tell me, before I lost 10 kg in 6 months and was still overweight:

My father: "Sonia, back when I was obese, people used to really bully me about it, until one day, I finally said to them "I can lose fat, but stupid is forever." They never bothered me again since. Whenever someone bullies you like that, say what I said, ok?"

Man, I love my dad so much.

I did a mural in my bedroom a couple weeks ago, I painted the rest of my room yesterday, I'll be doing another mural this weekend in the guest room and at some point paint the fireplace and paint canvases for decorations in my other rooms, etc.

I asked my mom what will happen when I run out of projects. She said, "As a homeowner...you won't."

I am not sure if this comforts me or not. :P
 
Never let anyone bring you down. Accept and love yourself for you are and when you do that, no insult will ever hurt you.
 
So, this theme keeps coming to me in my time spent with God and in His word.

I have been reminded over and over, lately, that it's too easy to live in the here and now. It's easy to forget God's ultimate purpose and will is leading towards eternity. Sometimes it's so easy to focus on the things I want in life when they may not line up with God's will of the bigger picture. I want to focus on the bigger picture. I want to be where God wants me for the bigger picture, not just the here and now.

That's all.
