Hope you have a thick skin. The sound man gets more blame than anyone except the pastor. If someone holds a mic too close to a monitor and it feeds back... If someone is half deaf and can't hear... If multiple people have to hear themselves louder than everyone else in the monitor feed (which is impossible because there can only be one loudest...) It's always because "the sound system here is terrible."

Oh noooo.... I just realized something Shine... When you posted this I thought you jokingly meant that someone might buy the helmet for me on my b-day. :rolleyes: I had no idea that was also the opening date of the movie. :rolleyes: I do really want to see it though. I haven't been this excited about a new star wars movie since Return of The Jedi came out in the 80's. Can we still be friends?? :rolleyes:

I don't know if its still true but back in the 90's they said that the profession with the most suicides was dentist followed by psychologist. I guess its sad when no one wants to see you. As for the psychologists, I guess they have a difficult time dealing with all their patient's issues.

Yeah, vicarious trauma can really get to you if you're not careful.

Also, other people thinking you should "have it all together" because you're a psychologist might make you hesitate to confide in others. Possibly.

Brother, in all the time I've known you on here I have never seen anything that would cause men to doubt your salvation. The simple fact that you are wrestling with this and not just giving up confirms that for me. Many of us struggle with this aspect of our faith for a multitude of reasons. I know for myself it stems from what some would call the "father wound", We tend to project onto God the shortcomings and failures of our human fathers and that is not easily overcome for many of us.

I had to chuckle when I read this because a large number of persons that I have known that pursued psychology as a field did so in order to attempt to figure out what was wrong with themselves. Of course for most of them it didn't work out so well since proper pychoanalysis requires objectivity and it is near impossible for people to be objective when it pertains to themselves.
