Oh snap! It was actually a ferrari 458 (my favorite car), not a lambo. I never get them mixed up. I can even differentiate all the different models of each marque.. but the flying cat threw me for a loop!

Thank you so much Once! You know, I was starting to relax just a bit tonight....... could feel my shoulders lose their tense, was surprised even at how flexed the muscles in my shoulders were..... my mind just starting to slow its churning, churning, churning - the flip from this to another channel to that.... just getting at the end of the train... the whistle reaching that crescendo before it turns to fade.... just fade, fade..... sleep....
But NO. Thank you so much for that little alarm. It's so helpful.
Well, they just let me go from my English teaching job. Not sure if I'm glad I don't have to deal with the frustrations of that anymore or rather annoyed and sad. Quite certain from my experiences here so far that teaching English overseas is not something I want to make a career out of. Now what will I do with all that extra time in a week?
i'm so sorry cinder. i think it's always difficult when something that major is taken away from one, rather than having an opportunity to plan and prepare for such a change.
i really don't know if this is your main job or something you do in addition to other stuff. how is this change going to affect you in the short term? are you going to be okay?

It was just a side job to pick up some extra cash and help out a friend of a friend, so it's not a super big life impacting deal. It was scheduled to be over end of May anyway. (Stirring up all those I don't fit with the human race, I'm not going to fit anywhere ever am I ? type of emotions is another question entirely, but those will pass or at least return to their normal levels)
What it means practically is that I'll have less remaining in my savings when I return to the US (end of summer or early fall is the plan), but it doesn't necessitate an immediate change of plans (other than not preparing lessons or going to teach next week). I'm still working on the storying project here but we should have that finished up or close to it in about 6 months.
Thanks for your support, and yes I'll be alright. I'm just not a big fan of the unexpected coming out of nowhere and I feel like there was already enough up in the air about the next few months of my life without this happening.

well, as sorry as i am to hear about the job going away, i am glad that you're not going to be enormously impacted by this.
your post reminded me of another thing that i've come to observe. on varying levels, i would guess that most of us feel like we don't fit in, (or at least have felt that way at sometime or another).
seriously.
i've dealt with that my entire life. not relating to my childhood/school peers, the majority of my female friends (or women in general), most communities i've belonged to (i.e. churches) and certainly among other christians.
and i've noticed many others make similar remarks, ESPECIALLY if they've been single for a decent part of their adulthood.
so, ironically, you're in good company. and definitely not alone. : D *hugs*
