You know, cholesterol gets such a bad rap.

It's actually good for you. It's a pre-hormone. Your body can turn it into testosterone under the right conditions. And testosterone is good for everybody, women too!

You never really know what you're going to get in chat. I just popped in for a brief moment... and a guy there used the exact same line in PM that he'd used the last time I ran into him in chat about 6 months.

I'll add to my list of "certainties" in life: death, taxes, and knowing that some people will always use the same ridiculous lines (he likes to say that he's a "stray doggy" who needs someone to take him home and take care of him).

Good grief.

I guess PETA must now have a handbook of really lousy pickup lines...

I have never heard that before. I guess for me that may not be a good thing because I got some test results from my doctor yesterday and he told me that he was amazed about all my cholesterol levels because he blatantly said that people usually have to get on medication to get the levels I have. But then again, that might be great because lower testosterone might mean that I won't need to shave my legs as often. LOL

cmarieh, I like your avatar its pretty :3

Ugh. I wish I could electronically-kick that guy into next Tuesday.

In the interest of clearing up any confusion...which, may not be completely possible...

For many months, prior to New Year, Angie and I had asserted (and not falsely, I might add) that we were nothing more than very good friends. I had, at one point, very adamantly asserted this, emphasizing that I never wanted to be anything less than honest with any of you here. That, the bit about the honesty, hasn't changed, but since her visit over New Years, she and I both agree that "very good friends" is not accurate anymore. We are definitely more than friends now, but we're still struggling to define what we are.

As I said to her last night, I have thought to myself commonly in recent months, "I feel like I have a significant other...without actually having a significant other." Clear as mud, neh? Even after talking it over for a few hours last night, we're still left with nothing but vague Facebookish terms like "dating" or "it's complicated"...which still don't really explain what we are (or what we aren't).

Also, because of the...nebulous...nature of the relationship, please understand that this isn't an announcement. We're not looking for attention, support, or anything like that; we're just seeking to be honest with everyone here. You aren't going to see me flirting with her or insinuating things in forum posts (although I'll probably still be obnoxious in chat), just due to the semi-permanent nature of the forums and the desire to be discreet.

Hope this answers any questions you may have had about Angie and I. If it did not, you are welcome to ask me or her. Because...we would be the appropriate people to ask. *tips hat*

I really didn't have any questions and I don't go to chat much but I'm glad to hear you'll still be obnoxious when you're there, carry on.

Awesome! Love you guys. :D

If your cholesterol is low, you're probably processing it well, which probably means your testosterone levels are pretty respectable too. This is actually a good thing. People who eat enough cholesterol and have bodies that process it correctly usually have test results that don't look like they should exist (after all, they eat way too much red meat, too many eggs etc, but there it is, they're quite healthy).

Do you exercise? Because if you do, your body does strange things with the cholesterol. Good things.

Hope you like your women manly...

Testosterone is a normal hormone in both men and women that triggers muscle growth and wards off obesity. The more glycogen a person has the more estrogen they produce. Higher testosterone levels in women are actually quite beneficial - reducing obesity and warding off muscle atrophy, which is why more and more post menopausal women are being treated with testosterone replacement therapy. Women need it just as much if not more so than men do.

Testerone does not make a woman manly, it makes her healthy unless she is taking abnormal amounts of synthetic testosterone to become sort of female bodybuilder or something - but that's not a normal scenario.

End soapbox rant now.

Servant, yes, I am well aware through my own medical history that healthy testosterone levels are necessary in both men and women. I was trying to make a joke...

And on to other news...

Shour and Grace, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! *happy hugs*

I hope you both won't mind me saying this, but I remember Shour's first post in which he wanted to clear the air and said you guys were just friends but talked every day and for long stretches of time... I was thinking to myself, "Oh yeah, THAT one's only a matter of time. FOR 'SHOUR'." ;)

2014-2015 has definitely been THE year for CC couples, at least, publicly, in the whole time I can remember being here...

ARE WE SURE THIS ISN'T A DATING SITE????

Almost makes me want to post a sticky for any brave newbie who comes here... "Are ya feelin' lucky, punk??! Well, ARE YOU???!!!"

Time to sleep
How is it 6 in the morning.
I can't even say
But I hope that the future will have a parade

........or something.

I'm peckish... it's past dinner time already.
I think I'm going to put some chicken saté into the microwave now.
Tasty on a white bun with some mayoinnaise.
