It is not that God likes or even needs us. God created us and at in the beginning well pleased with the creation God did in Adam and Eve
Man made the bad choice in eating from the one tree God said would not be good for him to eat and that it would bring death. And that is what Adam and Eve did ate from, ,and death passed onto all mankind. for all mankind is born after Adam and Eve.
So God so loved the world, mankind that God had originally made, that God was well pleased in, failed by making their own choices to do what they think is right and that thought is kill to not be killed. Selfish
So God doing this a natural response to God for taking away the sin of the world through Son Christ, we thank and praise the creator of all, in God's mercy to us. So we do the same in response, mercy we have been given so mercy we give in response.

God in God's unfathomable love that you seem to not understand is so deep that we can't see it. It is not God doing any evil at all, it is mankind in selfishness that has free choice to do right by God or not, period.
And God loves us so much he gave his only begotten Son for us to be redeemed through Son, to gain new life, a free gift to us from Father for this new life of love to all, whether beleive or not.

Times like these I am thankful for CC. On the weekend, I stood by some lake chatting to someone, who then poured out a heavy story about their upbringing and childhood. Apparently they hadn't told anyone at church about this, so I felt very honoured to have listened to their story. Them being someone whom I trust and wanted to open up to, I go to take a step of boldness and share deeper parts of myself only to freak out after the first few words, laugh awkwardly and then change the subject to the turtles in the lake (smothering awkward moments with my goofiness, Arlene style).
I may seem like an open person here at times, but this is because I'm trying to compensate for the fact I am generally a closed book to most people in my life.
(...and just as I was typing this, I just had the revelation of why I am so afraid and have a bucket of people I need to forgive. Phwoah.)
