I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.
i went swimming late last night at the hotel pool, and i still smell chlorine, in spite of 2 showers since then and washing my hair twice.
how does that EVEN possible???
grrrrrrrr.
I'm having one of those days where I feel really stupid. I feel irrelevant at work. And even though it's not where I'd like to be long-term, I'd still like to think that I add value to my company. Part of me is thinking that maybe I should start looking elsewhere, like with a publisher who would appreciate my strengths. I just don't like feeling like I'm doing a bad job.
You've been studying Cleopatra recently?
I started a process today that's going to change something in my life. I can't say what it is and I don't mean to be vague, but because I have some steps I have to go through I'd rather wait until I'm through with that and closer to the finish line. It's a good thing a big change but something that I feel I want to do for myself. I haven't had this feeling of nervous and excited in such a long time.
What's going through my mind right now: Oh boy I may have made a mistake getting involved here. I could spend a lot of time on this forum.

Commercial pools are typically way over chlorinated and hair is porous. It absorbs the smell of the chlorine.
Gotten back into going onto the treadmill this week. Was pretty faithful to it back in January, then I had a relapse, but I hope to stay with it. I pushed myself somewhat tonight and I cut two minutes off my time for what I normally run/walk. Pretty proud of myself. Most of it is brisk walking, a bit of jogging, and some sprinting here and there. Gotta time it with the music, makes it much better.![]()

So what sort of music do you listen to during your workout?
I wanna get a treadmill, sooo bad! If I only had a job...oh well. We might be able to get one when we get our new house.
Typically alternative. For me, it's got the best beat and intensity to get me pumped and motivated to workout. Maybe once I'm used to jogging most of it I'll read or something during my workout but for now...I need the loud music.
My parents bought the one we have. I'm not sure what I'll do when I eventually move out...probably get a gym membership to a place that also offers racquetball. That's my favorite workout.

Yes, this. just_monicat, I have heard that if you rinse your hair before you swim, your already wet hair will absorb less of the pool water, thus less chlorine.![]()
