Well, yeah... Too much is lost without voice inflections on the interwebs...
Most people make their age assumptions more on looks than maturity/actions, at least I do. If I see somebody that looks 30 and acts like their 20, I still think they are 30. One exception goes to Taylor Swift who looks 20-something and still acts like she is still in middle school...I bet she's still in middle school.

I think Sadie has separation anxiety. It can be common among stray cats. They need affection, care and company, and when you leave even if it's for 20 minutes, they get anxious that you won't come back. That explains the excessive meowing, following me everywhere, running to the door to greet me and always cuddling with me

my dog has separation anxiety issues. she was rather damaged by her previous owner, as they left her locked in a kennel for the majority of the time. now, she pretty much is my shadow, and i am fortunate enough to be able to take her with me a lot of the time. she's actually the sweetest dog i've ever had--she's super sensitive and if i even tear up, she'll try to put her paw on me or sit on my lap.
and if you think cats/dogs with separation anxiety is bad..i raised a bummer calf (orphaned) whom i named molly when i was 12 (i think she became a 4H project) and she was entirely confused about her species and role in life. she was actually offended to be locked in the pasture with other cattle (she'd hang around at the gate and moo). in fact, she'd follow you into the house if you weren't careful, and if she couldn't be with people, she would prefer the company of our dogs.
she was adorably neurotic.
