Really?? I Actually saw it live when I was a kid. Yule Brenner was in it, but Julie Andrews wasn't. I don't remember the woman's name who played her character. :) Its the only broadway play I've ever seen. :rolleyes:

Wow. Yeah, my mom has watched the 1956 film and she told me about it. I just did a quick google search and found out there's a 1999 animated film version. :O

Certainly, I think God has carried a lot of us through times that we couldn't handle. The part of the scripture that says "a way to escape" probably refers to relying totally on God sometimes when we truly know we don't have control.
 
When one of those telemarketers or survey research people call you, the more peoplr hang up on them, you increase the chance of they getting fired. From working as a research caller everyone has a goal they are trying to achieve each day. And if someone consistently get a low amount of hits (meaning people actually completing the survey) they will eventually get fired. Just keep that in mind.
 
For some reason my friend and I had to rub chilli in face and eyes. A cloth soaked in milk did the trick. Something to remember if someone else tries to spread the culinary excersises to the skin and eyes.

There are few things more patronizing and condescending than to be told to “grow up”.
 
I used to be a big sports fan. I even played football for my high school. But I realized 20+ years ago what people are just starting to realize now with the anthem protests.... that most pro athletes are spoiled, rich, selfish and uneducated (even though they all have college degrees they cannot even put together a proper sentence. Their professors most likely gave them passing grades because they were star athletes and the university would come down hard on them if they didn't).
 
Since we're on the subject, this is Colin Kapernick's brand new 3 million dollar home in san francisco. The inequality that he was protesting about is something he knows nothing about. The same goes for the rest of the NFL protestors. If they care about inequality then they can donate their millions to the poor and stop disrespecting the Nat'l Anthem and the American flag!

I realized a long time ago that most...(not all) people that watch professional sports have lower IQs. All of my STEM friends don't care about sports very much. And we have a very popular NBA team here in my town. :rolleyes: I hope they lose this season! LOL Seriously, most people idolize them and it's very annoying.
 
The thing is...I enjoyed watching my high school football team play. I like watching my university team play too. I was really into it and it's still fun. I was required to go to the games because I was in pep squad back in high school. I enjoy watching my cousins play soccer too. I root for them and it's nice to watch their strategies.

What I find weird is when people literally worship the professional teams. I don't understand how you can have candles with the team name on them and prayers for them to win. Seriously my local HEB has candles dedicated to the Spurs. I'm totally revealing where I'm from now! :eek: Anyways, it makes me really uncomfortable the way people talk about them and how much it means for them to win. "It's just basketball", I tell them. This never goes well though. LOL

I don't understand how they can let people who they don't even know personally and will never know, affect their mood so significantly. I can understand it if you're in school and your best friend is on the team. But people like the Spurs are strangers to me and I couldn't care less if they win or not. To me, it's idolatry. Sure, not everyone who is a fan idolizes their team. But I think a lot of them do. It's a curious phenomenon.

Contrary to what many, many people in the world over the years think or have thought - yes, I do know precisely what my major problems is.

I have a crummy, toxic personality and a bitter, foul attitude.

This is not new knowledge to me by any means. I've been aware of this for the majority of my life. Why don't I do something about it, you ask? Being the way I am serves me very well for the lifestyle I have chosen to lead

So, yes, I know what my problem is, and I choose to do nothing about it. You can now stop with the armchair psychiatry. LOL
 
15069521978581318615185.jpgThese are not eatable but soaps. A girl staying here last year from France sent it to me. She knew about my bar of soap addiction and sent me some samples of her home made soaps. What a delightful surprise! Makes a rainy day a sunny.
