Hey yeah! Aren't those the ones that are like chewing bricks? IDK if it's the same one but there is a specific brand where their gummy bears are like bricks and I need to buy a bag for use on crazy chatters who won't stop... lol.....

Looks both ways....lugs plumbing clamp and gummy bears towards seoul.....(ignores safety warning on clamp: TO use with caution" pshhh caution whatever.....starts unwinding clamp....

Actually, BagOSquirrels and a few other in the chat room were wondering where my name came from. I had no clue it was the name of a place in Mass Effect until that day. But Mass Effect seems like a pretty cool game. I haven't played it, but my roommate is playing through number two again currently. As far as Final Fantasy goes, I approve. :D Though I did not know Aephus was a reference to Final Fantasy :eek:

No way you're annoying, Molly! You're so nice and it's always fun to read your posts.

Now me... I know I'm odd and weird. But I think everyone else is, too in their own wonderful way. My mother-in-law used to put it this way, "Everyone's a little bit nuts." That was her sum of the world. LOL ;)

As for being noticed on this site, it seems if you don't make waves every once in awhile, you get lost in the sea of posts. Plus there's so many trolls & religious fanatics posting the same ol' rhetoric every single day, it's hard to compete with them. That's why I post a bunch of funny gif's on a regular basis. I have a hard time keeping up with threads cuz they get derailed all over the place. It's a chaotic place here!

Sometimes I get tired of surfacey relationships. Why is it so hard to go "deep" with each other (I speak of people in general, nor necessarily from CC)? I think it's a matter of trust. Maybe?
 
There are some people in this world that make you literally hide in the closet and turn out the lights and pray when you hear them coming.

Because you don't want to listen to them talk about the nuances of goat personalities, or immigration, or the Apocalypse, for four hours.

I am related to these people.

Goat personalities? That sounds kinda funny.

My ex step-dad was and still is obsessed with the apocalypse, revelation and end of times. It's really weird. I just pretend to listen whenever I see him (mom and him at still friends).

My family loves to gossip. Only the women though. The men don't really care. It's really sad and I try to get away from it.

My Grandma used to talk about disgusting thing's when we'd eat together. She'd sit there and tell us all about chopping chicken heads off and how they'd run around after you did that. Then she'd actually discuss the way they butchered the chicken. We usually were eating chicken and these were the fond memories of living over a butchers shop year's ago. Then she'd tell us all about how they cooked eel in Sweden and the wonderful disgusting Surstromming which is a lovely fermented Baltic Sea herring packed in a lot of salt and can explode if under to much pressure. It also has a rancid smell. If you Goggle it you will find some very amusing exploding fish stories. Then when she was working at a hospital we got to hear all the gory details of some of the thing's she saw. Usually while we were eating.

My Cousin and I used to call them death meals. I loved my Grandma but she didn't seem to understand that it's not good to talk about disgusting things while eating. Oh she also used to eat pickled pigs feet in front of us. It was not pretty.

I can only speak for myself, but my personality has no depth, so it's impossible to go "deep" with someone like me. Puddles have more depth than my personality does. Hey-O!

This is really hard for me to understand. It's amazing how different well all are. Pretty cool too.
 
Take heart, you young beautiful people. As you grow older, you'll lose more and more of self-consciousness and be more conscious of what's going on outside of you, in other people and things. It's a gift to us older folks not to be as inward-looking and it's very liberating.

Of course, it's an extraordinary gift to be young and self-conscious, too. Man, I had some great times when I was young. It certainly spurred me on in my young life and inspired me to become the person I am today, ya know? So there's awesome purpose in both seasons of life.

But now that I'm older I can relax so much more and focus on things and people outside of myself. It makes talking to people so much easier and less taxing when you don't feel obligated or pressured to deal with folks. And when you're older you can just smile and walk away when you tire of listening and people don't even question it. :o

And now that I'm older I can go into WalMart and not care that my hair looks like a straw broom explosion or that I'm wearing mismatched clothes. That doesn't keep me from smiling and talking to people. And I can dance in the grocery aisle without inhibition when Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" is playing through the speakers. (Except my son asked me not to do that when he's with me.) ROFL ;)

Anyhoo, I think you all have wonderful personalities and I'm glad I get to fellowship with you on CC.
 
Well fraud seems to be everywhere today. I got a letter stating that we're part of a class action lawsuit against the people that we have our mortgage through and have for ten years. Apparently it's something to do with a home modification program we applied for. Then I saw on the local news tonight that they people we've been buying our cars from, a dealership that's been . around forever. One that I actually trusted more than others has been screwing a few banks and something about straw loans. The owners Son and some others have been arrested. The man who owned this dealership for years retired a few years ago and his Son took it over. I don't think that their fraud has anything to do with us, but man you can't trust anyone anymore. :(
