We just had a 7.2 earthquake last oct 15.. aftershocks are making people panic and crazy.. but as days go by, people are already immune with the aftershocks.. aftershocks are my alarm clock..

When I stream thoughts, some probably think I was raised up by something other than humans, all those run-on thoughts.
I assure you thought, I am OWNED by Him, He is mine, I am His. I claim Him because He claimed me. Hey, whaddyaknow , I just gave the answer to my question, but, as if you didn't know already, my smart ones of Christ living .Oh,how I want to tell those who are not choosing Christ how stupid a decision that is to make, one of eternity doing, where you spend forever and forever is such a long time, don't we all know.

Being raised by good parents who took me to church, showed me God, helped me to, eventually, choose God, on my own, and, through reflection of that made at 16 choice I KNEW who had really raised me up in life. That had given me life, not my parents who did have me, especially my mom, LOL.

And, seriously, there's no small appreciation for mom's decisons, but, Christ knew I was to become a living soul and he saw to it that it would happen and I sure hope I thank God for "raising me up" every day of my life. I do, Lord, I do, I do want to, thank you, Jesus..........

This video show us why our Blessed Mother of Jesus Mary is blessed!

We do not "praise the virgin mary as if she opened up the gates of heaven herself."


The Blessed Virgin Mary is important to Catholics because the Bible says she is important to God.

• Mary is the handmaid of the Lord (Luke 1:38), a servant of God just like us.

• Mary is the first Christian. All other Christians follow her on the road of faith. She is the model for all of us because she actively cooperated with the Will of God by saying "Yes" to God in the plan of salvation.

• Mary is the model of faith. Mary's faith never wavered throughout Jesus' life, even while watching him die on the cross when most of the Apostles ran away.

• Mary is full of grace. The angel Gabriel called her, "Full of grace" and said, "The Lord is with you." She is full of grace at that moment; the Lord is with her at that moment, before she says "yes" to the angel's question. Catholics believe the state of grace was with her since her Immaculate Conception. God prepared her for her later role as the mother of Jesus.

• Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, of God the Son.

• Mary is a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, a tabernacle. The angel Gabriel says to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow." (Luke 1:35)

• God praised Mary through His messenger, the angel Gabriel, "Rejoice, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you." If God and his angels praise Mary, shouldn't we?

• Jesus honored Mary. Jesus kept the Commandments and did not sin. Jesus fulfilled the Commandment to honor both his father and his mother. WWJD? What would Jesus do? Jesus would and did honor Mary, his mother.

• The Holy Spirit inspired praises of Mary. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women," and "Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." (Luke 1:41-45)

• The Scriptures tell of Mary's place with Jesus. Mary gives birth to Jesus, presents him to the shepherds, to the wise men, to God in the Temple. She lived with him for many years in Nazareth, intercedes with Jesus in Cana, suffers with him at the foot of the Cross, and prays to him with the apostles in the Upper Room.

• Mary is our Mother too. While he was on the Cross, Jesus said to his beloved disciple (who represents all Christians), "this is your mother." (John 19:27)

Wow, that would be terrifying! Glad you are safe, and that people are settling down.
 
Mother is not with a capital 'M,' itoreHis, but, Mary, most absoluely, definitely, was used by God in a great way, to carry the Holy Spirit, the Child, and, also, not just was Mary used good as the mother of God, so, was Joseph, who was leading them both by the dreams God presented to him . The Lord leads :)
 
I've never seen 'mother' ever capitalized anywhere by itself, but, if you want to say 'Mother Mary,' then, you can, because that's a proper title of someone. :)
 
I always thought that Joseph never got enough credit. Mary knew for certainty that she had not had sex, thus still a virgin, thus was carrying the Son of God. It's Joseph that had the greater faith. He didn't know for sure of Mary's activities. He was being asked to marry and take responsibility for a woman and child that he clearly knew that he had not been involved with in that way. Since the angel appeared to him in a dream, it would have been very easy for him to discount it. Speaking from a man's perspective, I have a great respect for Joseph's faith and courage.

I see, kentom, you are saying that a mother's job is tough and it should be with a capital 'M' because of that reason. Fair enough. I often wonder how moms raise a baby to around age 2 , all those nights where they are up all night and the guy just sleeps all through it mostly. Finally, about age 4, the guy gets involved , as the kid starts to have nightmares or just needs daddy more in the middle of the night. I'm guessing, I've never had kids and I've never been married.

my dog is always cleaning herself, she's short-hair, very clean, smells like popcorn. I only 've had one other of my own pets, in 4th grade, I got a kitten, black and beautiful , poor thing died of what it did most to itself, licking it's fur, which became furballs in its stomach time and again. He had to eat catfood that was good fo dissolving hair balls in his stomach, or medicine. Finally, while i was off at school my freshman year of college, died, I found out, when I came home summertime, and, he died of a kidney infection that was largely because of hairballs affecting his body to keep him cleansed, or, something like that. I am not sure how to relate this but my cat was very clean too, occassionally did have excrement stuck in fur near bottom end but, all and all, he was clean and that's because he was always cleaning himself, just like my dog.

I don't say this facetiously because I loved my cat. The King Kong final scene where Jack Black is looking up at the top of the Empire State building and a poilce offer says that the plane attacks killed him, or, something like that. And, Jack Black says, "It wasn't man that got him, it was beauty that killed the beast.'

So, it was the very thing that my cat did to keep himself prim and proper that killed him. Those hairballs, drat it all :(

Went driving through a small arboretum today with my dad to practice driving. I only came close to crashing into something twice. Only slightly drove off the road once to avoid a jogger. I think I had a pretty successful drive (don't worry, you guys...I went through the place twice, and the second time around I was MUCH better. Didn't make the same mistakes I did the first time).

and the angel told him, not Mary, to move his family to Egypt - this tells us that God honored his role as head and protector of the family.
 
my error, I thought kentom was capital 'M' mary but it was kentom, ok, nothing here, except 'Roll 'Bama.' :)
