My take on the Starbucks cup deal.

Pastor posts blog/vlog complaining about cups --> a couple people agree and also complain --> Buzzfeed and other sites create little articles about how all Christians everywhere are angry at Starbucks --> Everyone complains about how everyone needs to calm down about the Starbucks cups, even though there were actually like six people complaining in the first place

The starbucks "christmas" cup controversy...

https://westandbesideyou.wordpress.com/2015/11/09/whats-the-big-deal-about-the-starbucks-coffee-cup/

Cliff notes: This year they just have a plain red/burgandy cup with no christmasy design on it. It used to always have a christmasy design on it.

Yeah... this whole thing is... *shrug*

"Joshua Feuerstein, a former television and radio evangelist with more than 1.8 million followers on Facebook, took to the platform to comment on Starbucks' new cups."

"Starbucks removed Christmas from their cups because they hate Jesus," he wrote, asking followers to use the hashtag #MerryChristmasStarbucks and to ask baristas to write "Merry Christmas" on their cups instead of their names."

Is it lonely up there on your pedestal, Mr. Feuerstein?

So, I'm all caught up.

People do realize that this is just a cup that they will throw out anyways?

People will find anything to flip out over and be offended.

It is only a cup.

it's ok, though.

pretty much this, honestly to me when I see people flipping over something stupid... I just put them over in the "low information" pile.

Yeah, there's some truth to that. The whole thing is so over inflated.

Ultimately, if Starbucks chooses to be politically correct - or whatever the deal is with this - it's their prerogative. That some people will devote more anger, vitriol, etc. towards that than they will towards, say, feeding a starving child in Darfur, floors me. There are some mixed up priorities out there.
