Actually, Propylene glycol was added to antifreeze to make it LESS toxic, like in food processing places. Also, if you happen to spill it on the ground and your pet licks it up, it's less toxic for them.

PG is considered safe for human consumption. If you really want to find a group of people who know a lot about this, look up anything about PG and electronic cigarettes/vaping. PG is the main ingredient there, and they know a TON about it.
 
Oops I said ethylene glycol instead of propylene glycol. My bad. At least I got the drug right. I better, since I worked in a pharmacy.

But my conscience finally got the best of me. I've called BOTH the dealership AND Sirius radio... The dealership said not to worry about and enjoy it while it last. Sirius kept telling me, "Our records say the account is inactive... You can have it turned on for a nominal fee and then choose your subscription plan..." and I'm like, "No, no, no, that's what I'm trying to tell you. I had a free trial and it's NEVER shut off and is still going... I want to make sure I'm not cheating anyone and that it's turned off if the trial has ended."

Well according to them, the trial doesn't even exist. And if it does, they said, it will shut off automatically. GOOD GRIEF!!! IF you combine the times of both free trials, I've had over a year and a half of free Sirius Radio service.

But at least my conscience is clear because I've done all I can do. *Sits back, turns up the "Hits of the 80's" and cruises.*

A. Always do what is right, or
B. Attempt to do what is right, shrug shoulders, listen to 'Come On Eileen'

I have observed there are three basic types of people who come to this forum.

Those who want to hang out and chat;
Those who want to debate stuff and prove they are right;
And of course those who want to cause trouble, i.e. trolls.

Fortunately we have a forum to attract the debaters, like a moth to a flame. That's why the Singles forum is by and large peaceful and even productive for discussions. We have a few strays - I and Roh_Chris try to keep the gaps mended but lately Roh_Chris is out gallivanting all over the world and I can't keep all the fences mended. :P

In other news: There are basically 10 types of people. Those who understand trinary, those who don't and those who thought this was going to be a joke about binary.

In theory, these are some hard numbers to crunch.
 
seoulsearch: I had a similar incident. I was using a trial of an FTP server (don't ask, just say "it's a nerd thing" and move on) and in the middle of it Windows went totally berserk and I had to do a system restore. This had the side effect of resetting the program's trial period. I sent the company an email about this hole in their trial setup. They said go ahead and use the extra trial period days. I knew they would, but I had to mention it anyway for ethics' sake.
 
Statistics can be a good tool, because hey they can help you make better choices. If 3 out of 4 people get sick at a certain restaurant, I am probably not going to eat at that restaurant.

However, there are times where I see statistics being turned into generalities and reasons not to even attempt things. I have noticed quite a bit of that lately. Like "well most marriages are going to have some hardship, so oh well, you shouldn't even bother," or "most homeless are lazy and too prideful to work." I am not sure how you define hardship or even measure pride in those situations, but I do see a problem adopting those types of things to your outlook and attaching it too others. How can you help people if that is the assumption you attached to them whether the statistic says it or not?

It has just saddened me this week to see so many people this week who seem to have such a hopeless view of other people's futures let alone probably their own.
 
I feel like I'm at one of those in between blah points. I'm just goin thru the motions and waiting for things to click better. I think about the highest power during my day but sometimes its hard to put in to words what I contemplate. One thought. I feel a bit guilty to come to this forum more than others. I know its not wrong but I come to the singles forum more than the others. No reason really. I'm single. These folks are like me so we got that in common. still I feel like i shouldn't have desire to meet someone should just let the future take care of itself. I'm greatful for a place like this forum too. Wish I could creat a page like this...

I wouldn't have bothered to contact them, If the company is ran with that much incompetence then they deserve people getting it for free. (ie its their own fault) its like a sat tv company someone I know has... He gets KTLA free, he shouldn't even get it but he does. meh. wish I had KTLA nothing like watching live action police chases.
 
I understand what you're saying, Wise. But for me, it was also a matter between God and I... and He was convicting me to do my part in doing the right thing.

I couldn't argue with that.

well, I get to stop my physical therapy next week.. Yayy.. I plan on still doing the exercises they gave me, though. Today is day 3 of having my injection and I'm happy to report that I am pain free for the first time since last December. :o Thank you, God. Now if only this evil winter would give way to spring, I would be very glad indeed.. :)
 
I need more cardio in my life. Along with fruits...and veggies. And no chips. More chocolate (dark, of course. 70%+ or bust). I'm just now finding it in me to do these things again. Then again, I'm also making an effort towards not eating crappily. I haven't had any gluten since Sunday. Dairy, however, is in everything and I still haven't avoided that yet. PROBABLY why I'm getting headaches.

Just a heads up, Sirius will continue to contact you unless you tell them to take you off their list. I had one of those free trials as well, and at the end I said I didn't want it. They started calling me MULTIPLE times a day, emailing me, letters. Finally I got frustrated, I really didn't care what deal they had, I never listen to the radio, please take me off your list!

Like, I appreciate your persistence, but STAHP.
 
I ordered an area rug off of Amazon today. Which is completely unimportant to everyone but me, and maybe the cats who might want to use it to sharpen their claws. Anyway, I get way too excited about buying householdy stuff.

Actually, she was the one who contacted them and they told her they have no record of her account. Which makes sense since her radio wasn't put in by her dealer, or by sirius according to Morpheus from the Matrix. :rolleyes:
