Kept waking up during the night. Got some sleep no less, but kept waking up. :l

Let's hope this day goes by pretty quick.

Cleaned my kitchen (for the most part - floor still needs mopping) this weekend and repurposed and old sign that I am making into a chalkboard/calendar holder to cover an ugly fusebox panel. Channeling my inner Martha Stewart.

If I have people over this week, which may happen on Friday (that's when I am celebrating the holiday), at least my kitchen won't embarrass me. The living room on the other hand...

Weeee....my head is spinning. Crazy busy weekend and morning, but I don't even have anything to show for it. Like a cleaner house, or...I dunno, anything. Well, no, I have this goofy decorated ceiling fan...there's that.

I had this grand idea that it was time to teach my son about giving to those in need. So, we all sat down and went through all of the toys, and had him fill a whole bag with toys that are in good shape but that he doesn't really play with. It went really well, and we threw out a couple bags of broken/unusable toys, and came up with two bags of toys to give away.

And then it dawned on my son that he was GIVING AWAY these toys, and that he wouldn't get them back...ohhhhh, the screaming....

But, he did eventually accept it and said he hopes the new little boy that gets them likes them.

So now we have room for the excessive amount of toys grandparents are likely to give our kids :/

My husband left this morning to go take a test to renew his journeyman electrician's license. He's got a long drive in yucky weather, and he's nervous and stressed about the test. I think he's been taking procrastination lessons from someone...no idea who...

And then there's Thanksgiving. Which is always sort of a fiasco, because my mom doesn't plan anything, and since her parents moved away and aren't here to organize anything, it's even more of a jumbled mess. I know somebody bought a turkey. I know we're frying it. I know there are people who want to eat said fried turkey. The where and when and who...meh, it'll work out. Or else we'll have an 18 lb turkey all to ourselves...eep.

Ohhhh snap, I've gotta bake pies, too. I may or may not have the ingredients for this.

My brain is a swirling mass of turkeys and trees and garlands and test scores and toys and dishes and apples and coffee.

I'm feeling kind of adventurous today, but the more I sit here looking at laughable memes and drinking cold coffee the less I want to do.
I think that means I need to church my phone and prepare to get ready for a run.
Then clean when the time is appropriate.
Obv.

Church it? Is that sort of like schooling it, only religiously? Can phones be churched? I thought it was polite to leave your phone off at church...

:p

Maaaaaybe you meant charge it...in which case, ignore me :D

Haha, I love that you noticed that there. Yeah, I saw that it was a typo but I thought it was funny so I left it there :p

I'm pretty sure I'm going to start using that as a verb wherever possible.

"Yeah, I got totally churched today. It was awesome."

I'm feeling a good bit better today. Just had a lot to do and with a head cold. By Gods grace I still did everything I needed to and worked and church.

MissChris: If it doesn't work out and you're left with a turkey, I'll help eat it. I'll bring a loaf of my sourdough bread and make sandwiches.
